Remarks

Overall the college is very good. The professors, seniors, fellow mates all are very supportive. All the events taking place are worth attending and since the fee structure is very much affordable be it for the college or the hostel I'll strongly recommend this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I am in the school of life sciences, the professors are very much supportive and keeps you updated regarding all the internships, scholarships, seminars, webinars and many more. They encourage students to participate in the same for poster presentations, and all other type of activities. Talking about the examination structure it is pen paper mode and divided into two halves the Mid-semesters and the End-semester. The labs are very well equipped with all the necessary machines and the research scholars are always motivated and very well trained by the teachers themselves. Overall the school mainly is research driven and very much relevant and has helped me building a great knowledge in the research field.

Placement Experience

5

Placements occur frequently and various opportunities are provided to even the new comers. Various students have been selected for internship in ICMR and IITs. Even I have done an internship in IIT Roorkee.

College Events

5

Various extra curricular activities are organised like sports week, garba night, DJ night, college fests, cultural events and many more. Sports week includes various sports and inter-school matches are organised which are a great fun and creates a positive environment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much feasible and the fees is accepted in all modes online or offline. The fee for M.Sc (Lifesciences) is approximately 1500/- for one semester. Although during admission you have to submit an additional fees of 1000/- for security purpose.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted for any. Since it is an central government institution, one can easily avail any scholarship or loan they are eligible for.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is amazing, the gender ratio is almost 1:1 and there is no biased behaviour against any gender. Students from all over the country are present in the university. The labs are very well equipped and all the seminars, debates, webinars are provided by experties of that depart and are definitely worth attending. The guest lectures occur very frequently and are delivered by professionals and include updated information of the recent researches and are definitely worth attending.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The university is providing 2BHK flats for the students. Each flat has 4/5 students, not more than that. For cleaning purpose sweepers are provided. Water coolers are installed in all hostels and RO water is supplied for drinking. Although there is no mess facility in the hostels but a mess runs in the college where you can go and eat on regular basis on a very reasonable price i.e. Rs 40/plate.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very much supportive and they keep you updated about all the events talking place in the campus or for that matter off the campus.

Admission

Admission is based on an entrance exam, CUCET, which takes place every year. Registration for the same starts in March and exam takes place in April. After which each central university releases its selection list and through offline counselling the admission procedure is completed.

Faculty

5

There are almost 3 lectures a day. The university open 5 days a week. Faculties are easily available even after the lectures. Faculties remain in touch constantly via Email and messages. One can always have a healthy conversation with the faculties without any hesitation.

In the second year of the MSc, many adtech companies come to the campus to hire students. In 2025, 95% students are placed who are interested in the placement of MSc Mathematics. One of my batchmates got an INR 48 LPA package at the Tech company Accenture Japan. And the average Package is an INR 17 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The things that influenced me include clinical work, which is interesting to me. The curriculum does not prepare you for real-world applications; you need hands-on & clinical practice Teaching methods are already good. For curriculum, more emphasis on real-time clinical exposure is necessary Frequency was one in 3-4 months. Difficulty level can be 7 out of 10

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is excellent in every way! The course, which I did was of Life Sciences, and it's curriculum was absolutely wonderful! The syllabus had been designed such that it perfectly aligned with the syllabus of various exams, such as CSIR, GATE etc. And also, for the end semester dissertation, our university allowed us to pursue it from any other institute or university if we wish to, and encouraged us to do so. And because of that I did my dissertation research from SLS, JNU, in cancer biology.

This is year 2021 when we have probably 1000% more jobs in IT than 10 years ago. It is much easier to get in Tier-1 companies. The answer was still a BIG no back in 2010 when two of my closest friends did not get placed in college placement and it did turn out into their favor as they cracked even better companies than the ones at college. Math is simple only if you wish to do it: Assume that you will work your entire life until you retire. Let’s take the most pessimistic scenario of an average employee’s life. Total span of employment: 30 [no one remains unemployed for many years if they really want a job] Years
