Remarks

A little efficient management and coordination between students and administration would work wonders from the University. Panjab University is an amazing place to be. The University is splendid and it'll take 4years to actually check it out entirely.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is of 4 years. First year is basic engineering followed by intensive theory in the 2 and 3rd year. 4th year is all about research and internships. Provided me a research based approach to solve problems. Persistence is important during the course.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is not that great. Major companies: ZS, Musigma, TCS, Infosys. Recruitment drives start in August. 40 percent are placed. Not many recruiters come to hire from the 9 branches that the college has for engineering Their is a TPC mostly run by students without any involvement of teachers

College Events

5

Goonj: Was College fest. With less budget the fest was good. Ecocylcle: Major tech fest Agaaz: music fest Jhankaar: University fest Avishkar: Tech Fest Law Fest, Cyanide etc. Participation numbers were high. Especially Bhangra dancers performed amazingly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Around 70000inr per year. Both online and offline Per semester a fee for examination is added. There is no substitute to getting admission except the admission centre of PEC. No donations. Yes. College provides transparency. Repeat exam fee is also to be paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I did not. Students did avail scholarships. Not aware how. Mostly students from economic weaker sections get scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is huge and campus Life is amazing. University is open 24*7. Library and a tea stall is open 24*7. There are many parties due to elections. During University elections the University is the place to be in Chandigarh. No bias. Ragging is prohibited. Students come from all of the country of all races, religions and economic status.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes. Hostels are fun. There is 1 coed hostel as well. There are PGs all around the University. Rents ranging from 5000-15000 per room. Hostels have mess. Food is ok. Chicken is on menu somedays. Hostels also have canteens which sell snacks.

Alumni/Alumna

It depends on person to person. University does have an alumini meet every year. Most seniors are helpful and in later stages of professional career, are proven connections.

Admission

Admission through AIEEE based on AIR. Panjab University ranked number 1 from India in world University rankings. It offered engineering in biotechnology. Chandigarh is the city beautiful. Shortlisting candidates on the basis of their all India rank in aieee.

Faculty

3

All professors were PhDs. The teaching structure was somewhat linear. Total of 30+ subjects. Average age: 45 Most teachers didn't interact with students a lot. Professors didn't pursue any research of their own so as to provide the student with a hands-on experience.
