4

The first year and fourth year were board exams while the second year and third year papers were conducted internally. First year was into subjects related to subjects which we had studied in 12th standard.the second year, third year and fourth year were subjects related to electronics.

Placement Experience

4

After the third year was completed, companies arrived at our college for placements.i had a live k.t in my exams so I was not allowed to sit for major companies like Infosys or wipro or tech mahindra but I got a chance to sit for companies wherein I had a live k.t.in my exams

College Events

4

There were all kinds of sports activities and management festivals in our college. We had robotics festival also we had IEEE members who arranged various festivals and activities in a year.they are very big as you get a practical knowledge about electronics

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure in the college was very feasible it was 42000_45000 per semester the mode of payment that the college accepted was demand draft at that time.there were no additional fees other than exam fees yes the college provided transparency in the fee breakdown

Fees and Financial Aid

My mother was working in a bank so I had no requirement for a education loan I did no avail any scholarships also

Campus Life

4

Yes they were good.they was a good ratio of males and females in this college they were dorm parties, workshops, cultural societies in this college there was good tolerance about gender, race, religion and ethnicity.there was enough quality maintained in this college

Hostel Facilities

4

As I was living with my parents in andheri west there was no requirement of hostels.i was very well adjusted with travelling by trains and best buses. They were some students who studied in hostel but they said it was good

Alumni/Alumna

When there was a robotics competition in our college, the seniors used to guide us on how to electronically operate the robot

Admission

In mhcet I got 114/150 which was enough to get in engineering I got 82.33%in pcm I applied for electronics and telecom But got into electronics department.k.j. somaiya is a brand name and that is why I wanted to opt for this course.first I applied in all the top 10 engineering colleges and then i didnt into any of the colleges.finally through open quota i got into this college.travelling was hectic but i liked the college very much

Faculty

4

Good, excellent, they were pretty helpful.the subjects were taught very well the average age was 26 years old.most of the lecturers had completed their masters some of them were PhD holders.the tentative number of lecturers in this course were 10.the lecturers provided on every subject in that course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
