Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Good standard of education. The course curriculum has many stream options which can be chosen by students. Vernacular languages are also given preference. There were no industrial visits done during our batch. This has improved now and students are benefitting from it.

Placement Experience

4

The college has excellent placement facilities. There are almost 70 percent students placed through campus placements.

College Events

4.5

College festivals, cultural events and sports tournaments. This was done at an average scale. There were participants from all levels and in thousands. There were many different sport events arranged on regular intervals. Most of the students were informed by placing posters and banners across the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee was not at all expensive. Infact there was benefit given to Gujarati community being trustees of the same community. Though there were other charges for other activities such as computers, sports library etc. But overall the fee structure was transparent and affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college of course had scholarship option. I did not avail for this but has some friends opting for it.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life was excellent. The rating if given would be 10 out of 10. Good restaurants and canteens were in the campus for all types of food options. At that time around 65 : 35 male female ratio would have been there. Lot of student activities were available.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No. Though I didn't opt for hostel, but had few other friends who had chosen for hostel. They had reviewed it fairly good. The overall standard and hygiene of hostel was at par with the college quality.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes very helpful. There were some difficulties in the beginning during interaction with senior students. But this was sorted out.

Admission

Commerce education is good in this college. Students have good facilities and knowledge teaching staff. It is located nearby to station and has post graduation option from same campus. The admission is based on merit system. There are other language courses which can be opted.

Faculty

4.5

Very good facilities including library and open ground. There are lot of colleges in the same campus. There are common facilities which can be opted by students. Good preference is given by college towards extra curricular activities such as sports, dance, fitness and self development skills.

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
