Remarks

College management will never be upto the mark and I personally will never want it to be upto the mark, because arguing with the manager to get your things done and the complains going to them is something you enjoy during those college days, and with these people around the college will never function, so a hats off to my college management staff.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is based on your creativity added with theory and research. No placements happen in this field. Since this field had more of creativity in it, it is on how you secure your jobs/internship. Yes industrial visits happen every year in the five year course.

Placement Experience

2.5

In the field of Architecture, no company will offer you placements, it's all by you to find internships and seek the best. Yes, I did intern for six months, in the 8th semester, which is compulsory by the university. The college does prepare the students for professional practice also known as internship, before the batch leaves for internship.

College Events

3.5

List of events are: 1. Zonal NASA - in this the college participates for various trophies which is competed by the colleges of particular zones. 2. Annual NASA - this is held on a larger level, where international colleges also participate for various trophies. 3. ICHH - Held in college where professors/architects come to our college to show us their work and their experience. And with that happens some cultural shows 4. Arch. Fest. - Held in college, where the freshers are introduced through this festival and all the students are put to work to decorate the college infrastructure, along with lectures from professors/architects from different colleges there are dances, fashion shows, band performances and etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Pretty much feasible I would say for a professional course. The college accepts online transactions, cheques, but it prefers demand drafts. Along with the tuition fees there is a fee for NASA and for the festivals that the college helds. For all of these fees paid the college gives you a receipt where you'll get the breakdown of what you are paying for.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think the college offers scholarship opportunities nor any education loan to students.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio was like a fifty-fifty ratio of girls and boys in my batch. Student parties were a lot more fun. Workshops were held in the subjects called electives and evs. Zero tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were of great help and everyone interacted with everyone jovially. As juniors we used to help our seniors for their thesis in the final semester and also get the same from our juniors.

Admission

My passion being architecture, therefore I chose architecture. You need to give NATA - National Aptitude Test for Architecture, this is the entrance to enter the field of Architecture, this score combined with your 12th score will give you a rank where you can choose your college. Dates for admission start by June-July

Faculty

4

The faculty if Rizvi College of Architecture is one of the best known faculty in design as well as theory and research. We had 9 subjects in total in one semester. Each subject held a qualified architect/professor to give the lectures. Yes they all had experience certificates to be allowed to give lectures in college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
