What Students Say

Likes

Faculty members are experts in their field with lot of experience and knowledge
Facilities like workshops , national and international tours arranged by college
Allows exploring other areas also like sports and different workshops for students

Dislikes

The college is only for women and this does not provide interaction with men and can be difficult when we are out in industry
College does not have a big campus , ground and basketball court are common for all college in the perimeter

Course Curriculum Overview

For this particular course practical knowledge and practical application is required for which every college lacks, assignments and other things are required and that's okay but giving experience to students on actual field is required

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year fee is 2.24 lacs and total 10.23 lacs For the categories they have scholarships which is given by government you can apply for them and the appropriate benefit will be given to you For obc it is 1.16 lacs per year

Campus Life

Annual festival is held between two terms like in November or December it's the most fun part of the college you get to work and have fun too The library have many books related and required for the field also they keep the library updated every time , it is open and available for every student and faculty member

Admission

Admission process is pretty simple it's by merit list And I chose this college because it's one the best colleges in pune and it's not that far from my home I didn't want to spend my time travelling to college only the college is in city area so it's easy to go there

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is quite good for some subjects like Bcm and landscape they have 2 faculty members and for architectural design they have 4 faculty members per class which provides interactive learning and students can discuss their work every time . There are 4 exams that are conducted by the sppu pattern 2 mid term exams and 2 end term exams

Night Life

College is usually close at night , the closing time for college is 6 pm and also in campus there are hostels so campus is open but the area around campus is very crowded at night as it has been very busy for hotels mess and stationary shops etc .

Placement Experience:

In VESCOA placement cell, its nice experience. There are lots of placement available last year. Students getting 100% of placement in college campus. My plan after getting the degree to exploring new building and visiting places.

Perfect infrastructure but more experience faculty needed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

My college view

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Designing dreams at DYPCET

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.

I got this college through cap rounds and was not my first priority , my first priority was sir JJ college and Rachana Sansad college of architecture at Mumbai and BKPS at Pune , but got this one on cap round basis as marks were less for that cutoff and also as I was not from their university.The admission process was very good and smooth all arrangements were made correct but electricity was not available for the prints and other stuff. The eligibility of course is appear for NATA entrance exam and 12 th percentage also jee paper 2. Just search Nta examination you'll get to know about the application dates, fees& form info. Life is larger than architecture

For taking admission for architecture qualifying in NATA exam is mandatory with 50% aggregate marks in PCM 12th science. I gave JEE B. Arch exam but now it is not considered.
