Remarks

I would like to say that i was for tuned to have studied in this college and made many good friends. Learnt time management and money management better being in college hostel.

Entrance Preview

I took Common Entrance Exam (CET) - A Karnataka based entrance exam and secured 6571st rank to get into one of the prestigious institute SIT. As i was more interested in evolution of mechanics i took mechanical engineering as course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is split into 8 semester with 8 subjects in each semester. Each semester will have 6 theory subjeccts and 2 practical labs.The first 2 semesters will cover general engineeering subjects involving electronics, civil, electrical and computers.

Internships Opportunities

College has mandated 6 weeks internship from any industry. As it is person and company specific w.r.t stipend. (Most of the companies do not offer paid internships). So the stipend offered id practically nil.

Placement Experience

There is a dedicated Placement cell which takes care of placements and job offers. The job opportunities are pretty good if yoou score and decent percentage in all your semesters without any backlogs. During my final year close to 50 companies came for campus placements Average package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like Bosch, L&T, TCS came for placements during my tenure

College Events

There are may acadamic and cultural events celebrated in college Mechanica - A mechanical technical symposium is conducted once in a year Sports is conducted which is inter department held once in a year

Fee Structure And Facilities

As i was enrolled through government controlled fee structure fee was feasible and there were some additional fee collected which were nominal like building fee etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities are availed by many students through different banks. No specific loan facility is given by college to students. However college would help out w.r.t documentation for availing loan.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is pretty good. However if we access by branch it is female specific in computers and male specific in Mechanical. There are different workshops conducted round the year which will keep you busy.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are pretty good and decently priced. The food in mess is a treat to have as it will be of good hygiene and supreme quality.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Very poor when it comes to alumni network. The college has never been able to contact the alumni. However there are certain alumni who have voluntarily contributed to the development of college and campus.

Exam Structure

The exam structure goes like this 2 internal examinations/semester 1 external exam/semester Labs will also contain internal and external examinations

Faculty

There is a well established faculty network at SIT, tumkur. The basic qualification of faculty at SIT is M.Tech and most of them have PHDs. The professors take the complicated subjects and lecturers will take comparatively easier subjects.

Because sirikulam in terms of Reliance and comprehensive or not really good time period is very less so far academy here and we can't have time to study well and are many and I didn't expect this before college joining

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here. If the student is coming through Management seat then he has a different procedure. - There is no particular eligibilty criteria for admission in here, just one thing matter is the students rank which must be below the cutoff mentioned by the college. - The exam most preferred by the students is KCET, whose cutoff varies as per the branch they want admission for....Read More

I had got selected to this college based on my KCET EXAM rankings and i had given this college as my preority at 4th place and got it. i was so happy about getting this college and there was no other second thought and joined here.
