Remarks

I choose this college because of the following reasons: 1. Government college 2. Affordable fees 3. Within 5 km range from my home These were the main reasons why i chose this college. I chose Electronics and communication because i other branches got filled in the counselling process.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was 5 years old. The syllabus was updated every 5 years. No i was not provided any industrial exposure. Faculties were about average as they all were on contractual positions. Now all the faculties have been changed and they have now been replaced by the permanent faculties.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience

placements were on the lower side in the year 2015. Only infosys visited the campus and placed only 15 students out of 87 students. However for the mechanical branch maruti suzuki was mass recruiter. Godrej also came for the placement and 3 students were placed.

College Events

Campus life was on the boring side i would say. Technical fest namely inceptum was held annually. No management fest was held during my time. Participation in the fest was on the lower with only 25-30 participants in inceptum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed Merit cum means scholarship which is for the sc/st/obc candidates. I got Rs 10800 for one year. There were some other scholarships available for the muslim students like muslim minority scholarship (MOMA).

Campus Life

Infrastructure was bad as our college classes were held in the abandoned hostel building of the college. No wifi was there. Library could accommodate about 100 students at a time. Labs were fine. Equipments in the lab were of good quality.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Placement Experience:

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Our college takes admission through the JEE MAINS entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The exam is moderate to difficult. 1.Eligibility is , You have to maintain under 1lac rank in jee main (if you are outside Delhi). There's 85% state reservation. If you have 3-4 lac rank(crl) and you belong to Delhi you can easy can get into this college(for OBC ). 2.Go to Jac delhi counseling web and fill the application form (fee is 1500) .
