Remarks

Symbiosis is among India's reputed colleges. Given the chance to study at this college was an opportunity for me to get better positioned for real world life. I wanted to pursue an economics career and my college offered the BSc Hons program in Economics that I was seeking.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is well updated to us.we were given enough industrial exposure.and the faculty is very helpful and friendly. One of my favourite faculty is our Research professor - Varun Mighlani

Placement Experience

Placements are not much.we have limited seats but there are many companies coming every year with great packages.we have test and interview for the selection process.some of the alumni are placed in well reputed industries.

College Events

We have annual cultural fest, social fest and sports Fest every year.we have Economist of the Year event every year and all these have huge participation by students from different colleges in Pune.

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS

I chose SSE over JGU without a doubt and have no regrets about the same. The course in JGU was new and interesting. I quite liked it but personally economics and "Symbiosis" appealed more to me.
