faculty is nice. well experienced in their fields

Dislikes

the campus is obviously too small theres almost no place to hang out for the students
the classrooms are too small. no lift previliges are provided. no sufficient parking facilities
doesnt offer very well paying placements

the course structure is overall good. subjects are interesting but most of the books referred to are outdated. books are not provided bu college only pdfs are provided. however some faculties give direct study materials which is helpful for exams

the fee structure at symbiosis school of economics is designed to provide value for a high quality education. for the BSc in economics, the approximate fee is rupees 2,70,000 per year. caution fees is around 10,000 which is refundable

Campus Life

out of the many clubs SSE claims to have, involvement of only 3 4 clubs has been dominant. sports club is very active and often the most fun clubs ive been a part of. its tedious but its good. after the participation too, the certificates for club heads and volunteers hasnt been provided which again leads to demotivation in participation

Admission

the admission process of symbiosis school of economics was fairly simple. it started with the SET exam and once you cleared it you had to give a PI nad WAT exam and then you could secure an admission. i chose this college because it was in the same city as where i reside

Faculty

marking schemes arent that well designed. faculty is not very lineint is giving marks. theres a lot of assignments for very little weightage which leads to overworking and very little outcome and demotivates the students

Interview Experience

group discussions wasnt a part of my admission process however i had to prepare for a interview that was conducted by the faculty it self in addition i had to write a WAT to clear my admission. the topics were related to economics, women empowerment and general knowledge

since the college is located in the main city its almost very lively at the night. eating and snacks places are at walking distances. famous places to visit near sse are FC road, pavillion mall, jw mariott, vault (club), law college road,

Well worth the journey!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

In univeral college from sem 6 students become eligible for campus placements, Name of the companies offered in placement is TATA TCS, Infotech , and etc. Highest package from our college is 10 LPA and average is 3.2 lacs per annum. 20% percent of students successfully get placed in the companies from our placement team. After getting degree i will prefer to study more with MCA two years of course and side by side business & developing webs and applications as this is my passion and motive. i will prefer business Now i am interested in python programming language and JAVA after this React JS, Node JS and PL / SQL + MONGO DB for backend programming which has no user interactions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

I chose SSE over JGU without a doubt and have no regrets about the same. The course in JGU was new and interesting. I quite liked it but personally economics and "Symbiosis" appealed more to me. Adding to that was living in a new city far from home compared to coming home every weekend seemed more apt. The admission process was simple.
