Remarks

I choose this College because Media very few College has as a Main Course, and there are many students in this College studying, it’s quite a popular College, the thing which is liked me mostly is the Football First, I spent a lot of time there.

There are some pretty good faculty members who are very engaging and will help in every aspect. But again some existing faculty are not so desirable ones as well. The course was structured well. The quality of materials and exams were the worst part for us. The marking criteria were not at all transparent during my time. Hope it has improved.

Placement Experience

Placement assistance is offered along with on-campus placements. The highest package is somewhere around 4 Lacs but take it with a pill of caution. Almost 50 % of the batch doesn't go into placements due to very less salary on offer, job roles not worthy, higher education plans.

Various events take place every semester, not only events but seminars also, it’s a must-attend seminar for the students which really benefits the students, there are Cultural events also throughout the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of the course is pretty nice with diversified subjects alsong with specialization subjects in the 3rd and 4th semester. Some compulsory subjects include Tagore Studies and Basics of Communication. The course also includes Development Communication, Online media, Journalism, Gender studies, Advanced Audio Visual Production. The department is well equipped a mac lab but it only have 5 macs. The curriculum also includes Design, UIUX, Graphics design etc, and the curriculum is continuously updating with moden media teachings. The curriculum mostly prepare us for Academic Purposes than Industry.
