Remarks

Only a few universities in India have B.SC economics honours. It is an application based course which not only is theoretical but is also practical based. Symbiosis international university has a great brand value all over the globe with good infrastructure and opportunities. The course covers many different topics and gives us many future options.

The syllabus is well updated, covering various topics required for the cooperative world. We have various internship opportunities which help us grow. The faculties are young and interactive with great amount of knowledge

Placement Experience

The placements are not really great, but we definitely have companies from different fields from all across India. We have big marketing companies, banks, financial institutes, HR companies and research work companies. The placement cell provides us with a lot of internships. we have students who have their own startups in pune.

College Events

We have an annual cultural fest called EQUILIBRIA. It happens in the month of January every year. We have good footfall of 4000 people.We have participants from all over Pune especially all symbiosis colleges and certain students from Pune.

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS

I chose SSE over JGU without a doubt and have no regrets about the same. The course in JGU was new and interesting. I quite liked it but personally economics and "Symbiosis" appealed more to me.
