Remarks

Overall the college administration and academics are great. Need to improve on the updation of syllabus and practices with the industry.

I took UGET exam of manipal. I chose mechanical engineering over others because of prior interest in the field.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was very elaborate and exhaustive. Electives were IC Engines, Computational Fluid dynamics.The stress on practicals and the actual learning was huge. We had our own lathe machines and did all our experiments alone to understand all the basics.

Internships Opportunities

I didinot opt for internship through the college, but did it in Larsen and Toubro Powai. My friends approached through college and the following companies approached. GE , Ingersoll rand, MnM, Cybage, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is awarded to students with top 1000 rnk and who come in top 10 of the branch. Tution fees is waived off, and one needs to sustain 8.5 CGPA to continue availing the scholarship every year.

Exam Structure

Good structured examination. Weekly assignments 10 marks, sessionals in month and a half 20 marks twice and end semesters, 50 marks. All the marks counts and add up to your final 100.

Faculty

4.5

Excellent Faculty. Most of the professors are PhD. For important subjects, most senior professors are involved in direct teaching. For not-so-important and easy subjects, Fresh M Tech graduates are present. There is no barrier in approaching any teacher. There is a lot of experience, especially in the mechanical and manufacturing department.

i would rate 3/5 because we want more systems to do our work as well as labs too,the main thing is we dont have that faculty compare to other department their are only 4 faculty,so they can't even able to take extra class for us ,so this is the main problem in our deparment

Good for you if you want a degree and want self learn

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are no such specific of the curriculum that influenceed me to take these course instead i was interested or kneen to this course., since my childhood I wanted do this course. It's good in terms of virtual world but not for real world. Everywhere there's a need of improvement no practical knowledge is present here no one talks about new ideas not even they think about even some of them came because it costed them low. No such specific difficulty.

The students from the last year that is seventh semester are allowed to attend the placement given on campus. There are not so many campus placement available. Many companies such as tcs, wipro and other companies basically giving less salary compared to other colleges. There are many few students who got placed in the companies through campus placement hence it cannot be trusted completely. My plans after getting a degree is to get a job or even higher studies of possible. The average students getting placed are very low.
