Remarks

Its a great college. The management is good. Now with the campus expanded and so many facilities added , MIT is the best place to be in. I am proud to be an MITian.

Entrance Preview

CET. Rank around 1000. This was the latch batch which had admission through CET. This college is very good and was close to my home.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was good.We had electives like Multimedia and Virtual Reality, MES etc. The subjects were relevant at that time. Java, databases are other languages which were not in other colleges too were part of the curriculum. However we had COBOL also which was never relevant.

Internships Opportunities

We did not have stipend during the time we did internship. People did internship in companies like Dell and some small companies. The intership was hardly for a month at that time.

Placement Experience

3

We had good placements with salary ranging from 1.8L to 3 L. Most of the students were placed. Infy, Wipro, TCS, Sasken, LnT, TorryHarris, Perot, Huwaei were some of the companies which came then.

College Events

3

There were technical and culturalclubs. The yearly fest Revels was the most awesome thing. Technical events were project exhibitions , and were for all branches.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At the time since ours was a CET batch fees were feasible. Around 10k for merit and 44k for payment. Management fees i heard was around 5L for the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I am not aware of this. I dont remember any of my classmates having availed any scholarship from college.

Campus Life

3.5

We did have many workshops. Cultural societies encouraged people to participate in inter-college activities too.Race relegion and other factors were all cool. Nobody gave a damm about that.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was a day-boarder. However I heard my friends say that the hostel facilities were good. I ate once-twice in hostels and food was good.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a strong alumni however not much measures are made by the college to connect them.So we hardly are in touch with the alumni network. Its only through Linked in or FB that we have to find them.

Exam Structure

Days were not very hectic. We had 3 internals and 2 lab exams throughout the sem and one semester exam. Since there was sufficient time gap between the internals it was chilled out.

Faculty

4

The faculty was good. They were mostly double graduates and some PHD's. Their immense knowledge helped us a lot. Our project guides helped us a lot in intership.

the placement rate says 100% but you have to be maintaining 7.25 cgpa in order to sit for the placements and they are classified into 1) mass recruiters 2) dream companies3) superdream companies for which you will need 9 and above cgpa. i personally am dependent on placement or i also am appearing for the GATE entrance exam in my 3rd year as well as my 4th year and will see where life leads me but honestly i just want to start working and gaibn indstry experience and make money and develop skills faster

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are very nice since it is an autonomous college the courses have been designed to provide the students with knowledge of the latest technology and the need of the hour. Although the new subjects becomes a little difficult to understand sometimes at the end it's going to benefit us itself .

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements.
