Remarks

I live in PCMC area, so this college is one of the best colleges in this area. Not only in PCMC but in Pune also. As far as the mechanical department is concerned, we have a separate building in which all labs are there with state of the art equipment. All most all the faculties have completed their master's and are about to complete their PhD thesis.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have completed a diploma in mechanical engineering. So obviously I was going to choose this mechanical course but the question was from which college. In that matter, I visited the different college and I found this college very much student-centric. Other than the academics there is a lot to do. We have supra team, Tiffan team, number of professionals chapters like SAE, ISHRAE, ISME, FPSI.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 112000 per year

Internships Opportunities

This year on campus internships was offered by the college collaboration with FACE. It was an online internship cum training.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. TCS is one of the major recruiters. As far as core branches are concerned, the numbers are good. The highest package was 18 LPA for mechanical and the average package is 3.3 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is according to government rules.

Campus Life

In the month of February, we host the national level fest called 'Innovision'. Lots of clubs are there for eg. RSCOE toastmasters club for communication.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
