Jspm's RSCOE- A wholesome college

This is all autonomous college. The faculty is very helpful. This college has a very high placement rate. Since it is autonomous from this year the syllabus is industry-based. The syllabus for computer engineering has been designed by TCS. Last year the admission process had started in July and the college started in August. I preferred this college over others because I had heard many good things about it. Also, there were some seniors from this college who were my friends and they appreciated it. I used various websites and blogs like collegedunia, punecolleges etc while selecting this college.

I particularly chose BTech computer engineering because I was interested in becoming an IT engineer. Every class has approximately 60 to 70 students. During theory lectures, one teacher teaches the entire class however during tutorial lectures there are 3 teachers present in the class. The faculty is extremely helpful. The teachers even stay back after college hours to help students with their doubts. All the teachers are very qualified and they take a lot of interest while teaching. Extra lectures are also conducted for students who either miss out on some lectures or have scored less marks in the subject.

There are internship opportunities in the fourth year. Students are asked to work in actual companies under guidance.

The placement rate of the college is very good. TCS is a mass recruiter for the college. The packages offered are also quite good. Students have been offered packages of up to 18 Lacs also. I plan on going abroad for higher studies.

For the open category, the fees are around a lakh per year. However, there are many fees concessions for students that belong to ST, SC or EWS sections. Fees can be paid in instalments. There are scholarship options also available. The NSS club of college also offers laboratory jobs to students in need of money.

The thing I wanted the most was a good environment and I got it here. There is no bullying of any sought. The seniors are very friendly and helpful. There are events organised as well. There are both technical and non-technical events. There is Innovision which is the college tech event. There are many robotics competitions, programming competitions etc. Then there is Gandharva event (College fest). There is a traditional day. All these are very interesting and packed with awesome activities. There are two major clubs. The art circle (Rangabhumi) and the dance club (Hiphoppers). Both of them participate in various competitions. There are department libraries that have all the books necessary.
