Remarks

The college is among top colleges in Pune. Also, the college faculty is very supportive and the infrastructure is also good with all the amenities. The admission process was very smooth through CAP round. The office staff is also very supportive in answering all the queries and concerns of the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

My department was in computer engineering. I always had an interest in computers and applications so I chose this department. The faculty-student ratio is good with separate faculty for each subject according to their expertise. The faculty members are highly qualified with M.Tech and doctorate degrees. The teaching methods are very innovative and as per the current standards. Exams are conducted timely with the appropriate difficulty level to prepare students for the final exams.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college offers internship opportunities for students. Students can visit the companies and work on projects with current syllabus topics so that they get good hands-on experience.

Placement Experience

The training and placement department is very supportive and provides continuous guidance until the placement as well as after placements. Almost all the top companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Mu Sigma, Capgemini, L&T, Cognizant, Accenture have visited the campus for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is constant but can be reduced so that all the students can take admission.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest called Gandharva conducted where students from all department participate actively and there is the main technical event called Innovision with other technical events like workshops conducted. The library has all the books required with good availability. Classrooms are equipped with the necessary amenities. The sports section is well maintained and students are encouraged to participate in all sports events.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
