Course Curriculum Overview

Reason to choose this college, I got selected through CAP rounds and for the good learning experience. Faculty: student ration - 1:60. Most of the faculty are of Master or above qualification. Terms exams were taken according to University academic curriculum and other tests were also taken by faculties to prepared students for board exams.

Placement Experience

Placement is good. You get lots of opportunities to try your luck. Companies and offer made TCS: 80 (3.36 lakhs) and 2(7 lakhs), Byju: 2(9 lakhs), Capgemini, Infosys, Emphasis, Zensar, Yardi, Xoriant, Continental and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee was very high 1,20,000 per year and hostel fee was 40,000 per year. Different scholarship schemes according to different categories like sc, st, open, etc.

Campus Life

Annual Fest: Gandharva in Feb-Mar, Tech fest: Impact and Innovision Feb-Mar. Library: You can find most of the books and journals in Library. Amenities in Classroom: Nothing special simple classroom.

Hostel Facilities

One Hostel room is shared by three students which is big enough. Bathrooms are attached. Only one fan in a room I would have preferred 2 fans. 2 water cooler on one floor. College Canteen also doubles up as Mess whose food was terrible. Hopefully it was not compulsory so we can try different mess. Registration Process is on first come first serve basis.

Hostel Fee: INR 38000 per year

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs.
