Remarks

This College is one of the best Colleges in PCMC area while looking into almost all aspects. The Admission is generally done on merit basis i.e. the CAP rounds which start from mid-June. Also, this college is one of the oldest in PCMC region.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty here are well experienced best in terms of teaching, practical knowledge, etc. As all of them have minimum completed their Masters. Also, some of them have z industry experience. There are Mid Sem and End sem exams conducted with enough difficulty level.

Course Fees: INR 112190 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college recommends us to do an Internship after 6th semester which should be 15-30 days intern. Also, some companies visit College with Internship offers and a good stipend of 15000 with a certificate. At times, companies sponsor projects for final year students.

Placement Experience

Usually, Companies start coming after completion of 6th semester, hence students are eligible after completing their 3rd year itself. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Zensar, Pin click, etc visit the college and hire students in a large number. The highest annual package is 18L till date, while the average package is around 3-4 lakhs. In all, 70-75% of students get placed through campus placements. My plan after completion of bachelors is to do a job in a Core Company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is quiet average as compared to other colleges. Also, eligible students can apply for scholarships like EBC, etc. About the placements, Companies frequently visit our collage to hire all the talents. Mass recruiters include TCS.

Campus Life

Annually, 'Gandharva' which is a cultural event is conducted after the Technical event 'Innovision' which has many sub-events that are steam wise separate. Students from neighbour Colleges/outside Colleges also come to participate in these events. There is a big library at the entrance of the college itself which consists of an immense number of books/journals/magazines from various fields. Classrooms are well equipped with Projectors and necessary things. Also, the Campus had a good Wi-fi Network. Extra-Curricular activities like sports and others are given importance as well. Overall, the campus has a good infrastructure. Social groups run by students include TEDx JSPMRSCOE, Rscoe collection, and many more.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs.
