Remarks

Our college is very good for Civil Engineering in the whole PCMC. Infrastructure is also good. The admission process is easy and the staff is very helpful. Besides academics, our college is good for extracurricular also.

I choose this course as I am very passionate about it. And this field is something different. You can also apply for government jobs through this course. Teachers are well qualified and also M.Tech from reputed universities. If you study well and attend all the classes then it is not difficult to pass the exam.

Various site visits are arranged by the college. An internship is also offered in TE and BE. It is very interesting to go for the internship.

Fees are around 1 lakh but by applying through a government scholarship fees become very less depending on different casts.

Campus Life

Overall college life is good. We have various annual fest like Gandharva, various days and annual fest also. Talking about social groups ASCE is an interesting group for Civil Engineering.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is really good here. Library is also available for study. Food quality is also good.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
