Remarks

Being an Autonomous institute and Holding a NIRF ranking of 219, college mainly focuses on academics. If you want to enjoy your college life, this college will not suit you as per your priorities. The admission process is through merit list.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are very cooperative, and will help you out for every problem. Total faculty in the college is more than 200. We have PhD holding faculties along with faculties with an M.Tech degree.

Placements are always upto the mark in our college, almost 50+ companies visit our college every year. Most of the companies are from IT background, but offers packages to other branch students too.

Fees and Financial Aid

As usual General category pays off, Gen - 1,12,900, OBC- 62,000. As it is a government-aided college, the scholarship is provided to the student's caste and income-wise.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good enough, talking about the clubs we have teams like Team Curiosity and Team Dhruv which follows an interdisciplinary approach for the recruitment in the students. Team Dhruv works on RC racing and Team curiosity works on Drone competitions and its designing.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs.
