Remarks

This college has provided me with a good quality education and practical training. It provides me with a lot of opportunities to work with. The college does not have a reasonably friendly atmosphere. It seems to me like they are always forcing us to attend lectures or seminars in which we are not interested, they force us to take a lot of project's, assignments, etc at a time. The admission process was pretty simple online and the offline process took time but eventually it worked for me. This college had a lot of fame when I heard about it. They said it was the best college to get Engineering education in my area.

Course Curriculum Overview

Electrical Engineering is a new course in Maharashtra, so my batch was the first batch in this college. Hence, technically seeing our batch had most of the career opportunities and our placement chances were high. That is the reason I selected this course. Faculty is the best in case of teaching aspects, but when it comes to supporting and guiding the student's choices in projects and seminars, they want us to choose from the topics those have fame and are trending but not the ones we are really interested in. The teachers are qualified highly. Some of them are PhD holders and some of them are M.E. in Engineering. Their teachings methods are old and uninteresting. Exams were scheduled nearly every 1.5 month's and they were set according to the university level.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible after the 7th semester for campus placement. Every year nearly 80% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am an SC caste student and I had almost minimal fees, so for me, the cost to study was pretty good. My scholarship name was Rajarshi Shahu Scholarship. I did not get any assistance or job on campus. I didn't even know any of this kind exists.

Campus Life

The annual and tech fest is conducted in the month of January or February, it is called as INNOVATIVE FEST. Books and journals are all available in the library but we are not allowed to go and search for ourselves. We only know about the availability of books our faculty members announce it to us. Sports and extracurricular activities are not supported as expected. Maybe the teachers hesitate we are not attending any lectures. I don't know any social group, a club run by students in our college, but the students have an Instagram account.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
