Remarks

RSCOE is the first autonomous college in the PCMC region which is a very big thing. The teaching quality of our college is way better than other colleges. I chose this college because of the good reviews that I got from people and also by looking at the NAAC accreditation.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because electrical is the future which means more job opportunities. The faculties of our department are highly qualified and have vast teaching experience. Most of them have done their doctorates. The faculties are very friendly and understanding. The teaching methods of the faculties are very good. They use various day to day examples to make us understand the concepts.

Our college has 80-85% of placements every year. Top recruiters of our college are Zensar, TCS, KPIT, IBM, etc. Our college not only promotes to take up jobs after getting the degree but also promotes us to go for higher studies. We have a GRE centre in our college which helps us to prepare for MS.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is similar to that of any other college. But we surely do get scholarships as per the norms given by the government.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is amazing. Our ambience is very natural. Tech fest happens every year in the month of January and so is the annual fest. All the books that are necessary are available in the library. We have many clubs in the college like the robotics club, coding club, Shashwat Club and many more such clubs which help us to increase our knowledge as well as socialise.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
