Remarks

College is very good in various aspects. It is the first autonomous college in pcmc region and our department is the second Electrical department all over Pune to gain autonomy. Our college is accredited by NAAC three times with A grade that is 3.26 CGPA. This is the reasons for preferring this college over others.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties have vast teaching experience many of them have completed their PhD. Also, the faculties are very helpful and cooperative. The curriculum of our course is industry-based and has been designed in collaboration with KPIT.

Our college provides us with various internship opportunities. Recently many of our students got selected for an E-internship program offered by faculty of engineering KMITL, Thailand.

The infrastructure of our college is very good. Our College library is also very big. There are a lot of books available in the library. Also, there are various sports events conducted by our college. The Shashwat club of our college which is a social responsibility club helps various villages to solve their problems such as water problem, electricity supply, etc by applying our technical knowledge.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
