Remarks

I chose to attend this college because of the excellent placement record it had during the past years. I studied computer engineering. The facilities at the college are good. The admission process was smooth. The admission can be through the DTE process which is mostly on CET score. The college had a good placement record so I preferred it over the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in Computers so I chose computer engineering. The faculties in our department are well qualified. They are M.tech or Ph.D. The teaching and learning process is very smooth. There is a Guardian Faculty Member assigned to a batch of 20 students and they give personal attention to students. The exams are conducted timely and effectively and the level of difficulty is moderate.

The college offered internships. The roles are mainly offered on website and android development. Non-technical internships are also offered.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees depend on the category in which you belong. I was an open student so the fees were around 1,13,000. But depending on the category the fees vary. According to me, the fees are reasonable compared to other colleges.

Campus Life

The college tech fest INNOVISION is conducted every year in January. It is followed by a cultural event named GANDHARVA. Many students from different colleges attend this fest. The books in the library are updated according to the changing technology. There is a digital library too. The classroom is smart and has all the basic amenities. There are many clubs that are run by students. We have a Rotaract club of our college and many club like entrepreneurship club, coding club, etc.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
