Remarks

College has very good students who mingle each other well the politics in the college is enjoyed by students very much though it leads to big conflicts. The buildings and primary facilities are not up to the mark faculities are also less skilled and less experienced.

Entrance Preview

KEAM(Kerala Engineering Entrance), 16400 rank. I chose this college because it is very near to my residence, college gets good results in Kannur University and great facilities and faculties. I chose Civil Engineering because I think it has great score for development and I am very interested in this field. The admission process is simple in Kerala. Apply for college and be eligible for a seat, pay fees of first year and atrend a small interview in college and submit primary documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is satisfactory for most of the departments. But, in our Dept. (Civil) it's not up to the mark. Even though there is good research works and projects that are done on college itself and in construction sites, faculties are not much experienced and also not much in the willing part. The laboratory facilities are available with improved instruments. There is also great coordination between authorities, faculties and students.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship facilities usually, not much colleges provide internship for engineering courses.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and Job opportunity Cell has improved a lot over last few years. Last year, more than 100 students were placed in companies with a starting salary of 40000 and more. Our college is frequently visited by IT, Computer and Electronic companies and they select many students yearly. More than 50 students were placed this year already. The companies which visit include IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, etc. and they offer a starting salary in the range 30000-60000.

College Events

4.5

There are several cultural, college and technical festivals that are being conducted yearly. Every Dept. in our college conduct their tech fest once in a year that long 3-7 days and include wide varieties of technical researches, papers, presentations, seminars, models, instruments, machines, musical events, special displays, contests and cultural events. Our Civil Dept. conduct a fest with the name 'Srishti' very grandly. Moreover other College Level fests like Arts Fest, Sports Fest are also conducted every year. Cultural Festivals like Onam, Christmas, Holy, Eid etc. are celebrated in the college with maximum participation of Students and Faculties and these fests become non-erasable memories for anyone involved.

Fees and Financial Aid

Lots of scholarship are available for scheduled castes, special concession in fees are given that they have to pay only 1% of the fee. They also get other scholarships. Scholarships for Minorities, Girls, Disabled etc. are available both from Central Govt and State Govt. I am availing a minority scholarship of ?25000 a year. Loan facilities are readily available in a Bank Branch present in the campus itself. One can avail loan from exrernal links also, as in case of me availing loan of my fee(?65000/year) from State Bank of India.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is awesome due to large coordination between Students. One can enjoy every moment out there. Gender ratio is almost equal with Girls seemingly the majority. There is no much difference between Genders and they interact each other very friendly. Inside Campus, every one become equal and there is no importance for economy, gender and religion. The one thing that matters is politics, and students use fun side from it, enjoying struggles, strikes, marches and fights. Politics play a big role in campus. Extracurricular activities take place actively and so is sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels have adequate accommodation facilities. Safeguarded by Faculties and Security Persons, hostels have great environment to study. The hostel fees are not very high, but the condition of Mess Food is very poor. They always provide same ordinary food any day, any time. The Rooms are large shared by 4-6 students. There are more than required number of seats in hostels. Hostels are separate for Boys and Girls. Most of then are located in the Campus itself. Each year students have seperate hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an active alumni association that plays key role in development of college i am not a member of it yet. Senior Students coordinate with Juniors very well but, initial ragging takes place every year very widely which later result in good coordination.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
