Remarks

This college has been the best choice for me and has been very essential in my development as a professional and as a citizen. This college shaped me not only curriculum wise, but also helped me become an active member of the society.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam that I gave was MHT-CET where I scored 162 out of 200. I choose this particular college for completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Computers, because this college ranks in the top 5 private colleges in Mumbai. Also the % of placed students in this college is high and also a number of good companies come to this college. Also, this college was near to my place.

Internships Opportunities

This course did not require any internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities in this college are one of the best in Mumbai. The regular companies that took most of the students like, Accenture & Infosys, came yearly with a package of 3L PA (which might be increased to 3.5L now) and got most of the students placed. Along with this dream companies like Microsoft, Google, Morgan Stanley, 24*7 games, Colgate, Rakunten, JPMC, BAYER also took students with a package ranginng from 5L-10L PA approx.

College Events

4.5

The college is known for its events, both technical and cultural. The technical fest, Abhiyantriki, is held in odd semesters every year and accepts participation from various colleges in Mumbai in various technical events, games and paper presentation. The cultural fest, Symphony, has its own aura and contains of events like, dance, music, sports, amateur bands, celebrity interaction, Pro nite, bike shows, fireworks, laser show etc, which again has participation from many colleges in Mumbai.Apart from that, the college has its internal sports event, Monsoon cup and house cup, which has all the sports wherein students from the college participate. Also, college helds events like Ganesh chaturthi, Dahi handi, Garba nite, Nashik dhol, etc on yearly basis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at our time was 50k approx per year, which included all expenses, apart from exam fees. Exam fees was a minimal amount to be payed to the University. Currently the fee structure might have been increased to 1L approx per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

One of the good scholarship facility offered by college that can be availed in Tata memorial services scholarship. Other scholarship services were also present.

This college has a huge campus and a big open space, which acts as a big activity area for all the students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel and the hostel mess facility were very good. They served hot and delicious food for students two times a day(lunch and dinner) which was provided at subsidized rates. Also, the college canteen was very good, which was main college area and the most busy place in college throughout the day. The college canteen was responsible for providing food to the large audience during college fest and events.

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with seniors in college was very good and frequents. The seniors were always ready for any guidance or help required. The seniors also encouraged students to take part in different extra-curricular activities and becoming members in different student committees in college.

Exam Structure

The exam structure consists of three parts:1. File submission: Documenting lab work and assignments into file and submitting it at the end of semester2. Lab practicals/ Viva: Before written exams, lab practicals and vivas were held on the curriculum, which was little hectic as the student had to churn out the whole syllabus before main exam3. Written exam: Paper writing on the university question paper

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in the college was very good and highly qualified. The faculty was also very helpful and fun loving. Most of the professors in the college are Masters(Hon).

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
