Remarks

Eventually its a great institution with all sorts of people, it seems high class but it really is for everyone, all sorts of people.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is allotted by the university of Mumbai. We live in an excruciatingly digital era compared to the Analog Curriculum. It is pretty much relevant and fair but it needs certain additions and subtractions too, the world is ever evolving. It makes a person professional as per the 1980’s standards, a professional as soon as he graduates opting for a job in the industry has pretty much a big jump to go for as per the industry standards and the bar set up by industries is pretty high so honestly the course curriculum isn’t good enough.

Placement Experience

4

Our College does provide internships to interested students, it’s got tie up business leaders like Deloitte, JP Morgan, etc. Our College has 100% placements. The institution does provide special support and guidance to their entire batches to prepare them as per the industry standards, they provide them with lessons in soft skills and management, drives, internship opportunities and various program that’ll help them help their employer and their businesses.

College Events

5

We’ve got three major festivals in our college namely Litfest, Valor and Techvanza. The first one, UPG’s Litfest or simply Litfest is the annual cultural literature festival of the college and also the biggest. The average footfall is 10, 000 students including participants Valor is the the sports festival, previously it was called Aahan. For Valor since its a sports festival, the footfall is comparatively higher, somewhere around 15, 000 students including participants. Techvanza is the annual tech festival of the college. These are the major highlights of the College.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is highly feasible and relevant, infact cheap one might say compared to other institutions. The mode of payment is via Demand Draft issued in the name of the institution. There are no additional charges to be paid for securing your admission. The college is highly transparent in the fee breakdown. The breakdown is mentioned in the prospectus of the institution and also on the fee receipt that you get once you’re admitted in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn’t opt for any scholarship or education loan. If one wants it can talk to the principal of the institution, necessary documentation and if eligible for scholarships can avail it. For loans, it depends on the bank you’re going for however the procedure is simple.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is good, excellent in fact. With the heterogeneous culture, you get to see all types of people, the student life is pretty happening and fast. There are different festivals and workshops organised by college to let students mix up, find themselves and their niche. There are equal number of males and equal number of females in this particular course that I’m doing however the ratio might change as you move to BMM and the BMS sections. People of all religions and races are allowed in the institution, they at UPG support uniqueness and provide safe environment along with freedom to the students pursuing various degrees. People are mostly members of upper middle class here, however its mixed crowd so you can’t really know who’s who.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, but there are plenty of hostel facilities available for out-stationed students right nearby college. The prices differ on the basis of amenities and luxuries provided by the hostel owner. They are pretty feasible though.

Alumni/Alumna

My experience with my senior is kinda mixed. I took opinions on various things which I didn’t have any idea about, they helped me with all of my questions and queries. They did suggest me certain value added courses which are pretty helpful in moulding you as an IT Professional.

Admission

I got my name appeared in the merit lists released by the college. The scenario is such that as soon as you get your 12th grade report card, within a few days the government counselling portal for various degree courses starts, you pick up the college as per the availability of course which you desire to do and as per the cut-off lists. If you fall in the category, you’ll have your name appeared in the merit lists. There are 3 merit lists released consequently after a gap of 7 days for each. The number of merit lists released by college depends solely on the government guidelines and the availability of seats in the respective college. As soon as your name appears in the merit lists, there will be dates allotted for confirmation of admission where you present yourself with the required documents mentioned by the college’s admission committee, a person will see if your documents are in order probably a volunteer and send you to the admission’s officer for further procedure. If your documents are in order and your name is in the merit list, you’ll be further directed to pay the fees and you’ll get a payment receipt which serves as a proof for admission confirmation. Later on when the college is ready with the timetable, you’ll be allotted a SAP ID which will also be your Roll No. and a division. That’s it with the admission procedure.

Faculty

5

The faculty is pretty much upto the mark and highly qualified, they have experience both in the teaching field as well as the industries. There are 60 lectures allotted to each subject, basically for every subject there are 5 units or modules - each module or unit is allotted a minimum of 12 lectures per unit or module. Our professors are in the age range of 30 years -55 years. Eventually it depends on the teachers how to teach a student and how he perceives it, they do share extra knowledge and they try to be as relevant as they can be both from industrial and theoretical point of view.

Course Curriculum Overview:

like i was sure that i want a course that will give me experince about AIML with subjects like 3D design + Coding + Envoirmental studeis and all. and the course from the sandip actually have all these subjects in a single course thats why i choose this course. curriculam was good it was updated on time. the course helps me to land a internship with goverment cause i learn the basics of AI from this course. the ares of improvements should be the faculty members like they are horrible sometimes they dont even make the notes for the subjects they ask students to make notes and shared with other students. even one of the faculty member shared a playlist form youtube for a specific subject and ask us to take notes from it and prepare for exam not a single leccture he takes at that time. the frequency of the exam is also not that good cause the want us to prepare for the final semster exam which is of 6 months in just 3 months with all the paper works , projects , assignments etc etc.

Also course offers wide variety of subjects so students can have exposure to different opportunities in the field. There are also field study visits so students can get their real world experience and exposure. The external exams are a little bit hectic as the take it into a streak. There is no gaps between the exams so it is a little hectic. Also some proffessors should provide study materials to students so it will be helpful .

I thought that zoology is most interesting to learn and its have future job opportunity. So basically zoo student are like little dr or zoologist. It provides little bit of that syllabus while learning you feel like you are dr or expert in zoology which example we experience in our day to day life. They need to add more teachers and placement opportunity. After every one and half month there is exam.
