College should improve their campusing criteria,like they have to arrnage more big companies.And,it should improve it’s canteen and food quality of hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview
Basically,one can enter deeply into core subject of pharmacy like pharmacology,pharmaceutics,pharmacognosy to develop the basic knowledge about various drugs that will help to shine in any profession.Yes,we did an industrial visit in 3rd year.The company where we did our industrail training is-IPCA Laboratory Pvt Ltd,Dehradun.Basically in the 8th sem,the college arranges some company,which come and give placements.
Placement Experience
Yes,our college had aaranged a special programme last year for final year student to make them ready for compamy placements.This year many students got their placement in La Chemico Pvt Ltd.College has also arranged online interviews in big companies like Nestle.Near around 15-20% of students get placements every year from this college.Many students go for further studies like M pharm, Phd,M.B.A.
College Events
Our college holds two big cultural programme every year.One is freshers of 1st year students along with various beautiful cultutal programmes.The biggest is fest.Farewell of final year students,reunion of pass out seniors,along with amazing cultural programmes for two days participated by our talented teachers amd students.Tech fest is held for two weeks,different competitions are there.We also hold Teacher's day,Saraswati Puja in a bery beautiful way.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When I got admission,the fees per semester was 41,000.Along with this there are exam fees,bus fair for who travel by bus.These fees increase in every year.Except this,one had to give 5000 for uniform at the time of our admission.So,it can be called little expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
One can get educational loan as every where happens.He or she has to return it after getting job.There are minority scholarships but we,genral category students are deprived from this.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is near abuot 8:1 for boys and girls.Various extracurricular activities like debtes, quiz, oral presentation are arranged during tech fest which is held for two weeks every year before freshers.There are various sports arranged like football,cricket,volley ball,carrom,chess every year and in all cases good performers get prizes.
Alumni/Alumna
Very good relationships between seniors and juniors.They share a very strong bond,that is brotherhood.
Admission
I got admission in this college by my rank in WBJEE exam.I had not require any management quota because as per my pharmacy rank I got admission easily. The various types of professional scopes of pharmacy drives me to take this course. The main reason to choose this college is that it is very near from my home.I do not need amy hostel or mess.I can travel to college from my home on daily basis.
Faculty
Our collge has total 23 faculty members.Our college has near about 2-3 specialist for every single subject that we have to study.Our prinicipal Dr.Arnab Samanta,Assistant Professor Dr.Suman Acharay,Associate professor Dr.Jhuma Deb,Dr.Nilip Kanti Deb all are phd in their's subjects.Our training and placement related master Dr.Sudipta Das hasv many years of industrail experinece.That is why besides of having phd in pharmaceutics he is in this department like arranging company for placements,sending students to indstrial visit.
