Remarks

I think some ragging problems should be stopped in the college. And political freedom is limited to a particular group it should be changed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yes. Our curriculum is very much groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge to me because it teaches us not only to protect trees but also to use trees very sustainably. On the other hand, our curriculum is concerned with both the industry and the environment. We visited several plantations, wood mills, and plywood factories

Placement Experience

4.5

I attended the recruitment exams of TCS, Infosys, etc. I think the number of students that participated is less.

College Events

2

A lot of technical, cultural, and management festivals were there to improve the skills of students. I think more than 80 percent of the students participated in it the festivals. We conducted film festivals also that were a 7-day program in which a lot of movies were shown.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was feasible for me because I paid only 2000 approx. Annually. We can pay it directly at the office or use a college computer lab for this purpose only we had to pay 10 rupees per hour for computer usage. And of course, Transparency was there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I got a grant that was given by the Kerala government. As I am belonging to OBC I didn't want to pay the exam fee because of the scholarship. I didn't get any money in my hand only the exam. Fees

Campus Life

2

I think politics. Played a major role in the. Campus. Only one party had the freedom to do their works. All other groups were attacked. The main problem is. Cultural programs like college day are used to attack other parties. Cultural societies were good. In our college 70 % were girls.

Hostel Facilities

4

No. My house was near so I preferred the bus. But the rooms are good bathrooms were there nice environment was there. The new admission students will suffer a lot.

Alumni/Alumna

During our graduation time, some of the seniors came to address us. And they give the guidelines about what to. So next it was very helpful.

Admission

This course is rare and so attractive. Those who love to study nature can select this course. And we studied about the forest, soil, trees, etc we spend a lot of time in the forest. I think it's very important to know about our environment in the modern world that was my reason to do this course.

Faculty

3.5

There were 3 teachers in my department for our main course. The average age was 35. And they were well talented. They were having minimum qualification of pg and they are doing Ph.D. Also. Our department head was malik fasil, sir. A good example of how a teacher should be.

Sacred Heart College - [SHC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Applications)
Reviewed on Jan 29, 2025(Enrolled 2020)

Placement Experience:

Placements at Sacred Heart College are quite promising and focus on equipping the student with the skill set for employment. Normally, a candidate may get eligible for campus placement after fifth semester , course-wise. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, etc.and offer roles in data analyst, software developer, marketing associate, etc.The highest package in recent years has been around ?10 LPA, while the average package ranges between ?3-5 LPA, depending on the company and job profile. About 80% of the students get campus placements, and others go for higher studies or start entrepreneurship. In case campus placement is not available for specific programs, the college facilitates career counseling and internships and provides skill development programs to improve employability. After my graduation, I would like to go for higher studies, a specific industry, business, etc. using the knowledge and experience acquired at Sacred Heart College.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this coarse because i love geography. But it was not as same as i learnt in my higher secondary. But it also includes the continuation of +2 geography. The curriculum enables us for real world applications like Calculating time of different areas and the intensity of wind and weather symbols and also make us capable to identify types of rock. Actyally teaching method should be improved. Many interesting topics are turning into boring ones. They are conducting exams regularly to modify oru knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose geography for my graduation because of it was a rare course and only provided by three govt college in Calicut University. It is a good course and it's sub disciplines are very nice to connect with others. Frequency of exams are based on the time duration of finishing the semesters. Usually it's two sem exams in a year and with some other reasons it may get delayed. In course of three years all 6 semesters and it's exams along with project and practical will be finished. Field trip is the main attraction of the course.
