College was the most exciting phase of my life. I learnt alot from college. Our college provided good quality education and Iam proud to be a part of it.

I had appeared for WBJEE which stands for West Bengal joint entrance exam. My rank was 2357. I took up mechanical engineering at heritage.

It was 4 years of rigorous training. I passed with 7.73 GPA. Now I am a software engineer at Capgemini. Course was well spread over 4years. It was a great place to study.

I did my summer training at kamarhatty company ltd. A lot of companies came during recruitment phase. Both it and core industry was a part of recruitment. Few eg are Infosys,Wipro,Capgemini,Tech Mahindra,va tech wabag,paharpur cooling towers etc. Our college achieved about 65-75% placement.

Our college is a combination of technology and management institute so we have alot of cultural fests all round the year. Daksh is our technical fest. Eclecia is our cultural fest. Apart from this many more fests are hosted throughout the year.

Our semester fees was about rs 35000-40000. It is a private institution so it was a bit expensive. But there was support for underprivileged students who could not pay their fees. Grants were offers to them.

No I didn't avail any. There were scholarships awarded to students who were meticulous but were financially backward. I don't have much knowledge about it.

Gender ratio was quite normal as you find in a engineering college. Our college had politics but it did not have any interference with state politics. It was independent and ideological. Cultural societies existed like photography,education for underprivileged children etc.

The hostel was good. I didn't stay there but whatever I have heard from my friends it was quite neat and clean.

As of now we did not have any alumni meet but yes it is active and there is annual alumni meets. We have had a healthy relationship with seniors from the very 1st day in college. They interacted with us an also fresher's broke the ice between us further.

We have each year distributed into 2 segments. Each of which is known as a semester. There are a total of 8semesters and at the end of each we have an exam.

Faculties were quite good. As our branch of engg started from the year of our enrolment so it took some time to recruit experienced faculty. But we did not suffer as college authority took care of it. We had a blend of experienced faculties from both academics and industry.
