Remarks

The good aspect of my college is that the Professor is very experienced. The bad aspect of my college is the infrastructure. Admission is done in merit as well as entrances. Kohima Science College is one of the best colleges in the whole Nagaland. The official website kscj.ac.in.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue mathematics because I was interested in maths. The students and teachers ratio is 3:1. The teaching faculty are qualified and very experienced. Internal assessment and semester exams are held quite often and the difficulty level is also quite high. It was difficult to clear those tests and exams.

Course Fees: INR 8900 per year

Internships Opportunities

Oriflame, Avon, Pharmacies offers internship to the capable students and those interested in an entrepreneur.

Placement Experience

Not quite sure about the campus placement. The education dept, agriculture dept, social welfare society come for recruiting an interested student to apply for this post. My plan after my graduation is to try in military forces.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's a government college the fees are not much. The approx fee for one semester is 2500. It's just been a year I started studying. Not much info about the scholarship.

Campus Life

Our college conduct annual fest in the month of April, Winfest in the month of December. The college library is quite big and the content is really good. We also have an online library portal. The college has a big football ground, basketball and volley court. NCC parade ground. Tournaments are held in the college ground. The Evangelical Union(EU) are run by the students.

Hostel Facilities

We have 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. It's a govt hostel so the expenditure is less. The environment is also good.

Hostel Fee: INR 4500 per year

Interview Experience

There was a GD on the topic "Importance of proper education". I was well prepared for it and I took active participation during the discussion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am so much into developing so i chose this computer science course which will be quite helpful for my future. The curriculum prepares me really well, i also learnt new features to develop new app which i am working on it. A little improvement should be made in the computers in the lab. The timing of exams is 3 hours which is a lengthy hour for us to complete our exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject (Chemistry) because it is interesting in a way. We get to know many new things. The teachers doesn't care much about preparing us for any such pursuits. There is need for improvements in many curriculums and teaching methods. The class starts by 9AM in the morning and ends by 2:30PM in the afternoon.

Well, the curriculum had 0 impact on my decision like most students do? Like i said the curriculum has a good blend of all the topics a physics should should be good at and has a healthy number of important practicals as well to prepare us for the real world Well, i would adopt a modern method of teaching using slides and videos in a projector instead of the classic white board and pen especially for the topics of physics which require images and well drawn images and processes to fully understand it The frequency of exam is low.

A good college with well educated and friendly faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find Zoology a very fun subject. It is the study of animals, both living and extinct, including their anatomy, embryology, genetics, habits, and many more. The faculty members are very friendly and understanding. They're easy to approach and not only that their teachings are good. They're always ready to help when we're in need. For the science stream, there is a practical exam before the final theory exam. Also, the class test depends upon the respective professors of each stream. The exam question papers were issued by the NU board and not by the college. The question paper is average. It also depends on how well you prepare for the exam.

I opted for this college only since its my dream to get into this autonomous college when i was a child, thats the reason i work hard to get into this college and for that the mark percentage should be good and i really did it. Most of the time there used to be entrance exam to get seat but fortunately it was according to percentage in my term so i apply for online application for admission and after a months i was selected so i did my admission there. The procedure for the admission are as follows: we have to submit all the necessary documents and write our name in the enrollment form, after that on moving ahead we have to choose our major, minor,MDC,and AEC, the hostel firm was also given on that day itself and the mode of payment was through online and for cash payment we have to go to bank near the college and pay there. After payment there was a session for identity card making and after that measurements for college uniform.
