Civil engineering in DTU

College is good, no negative remark about my college. I enjoy college life which I dreamt of. so I do not give negative remarks about my college. Thanks to my college which provide such type of life for all the students.

1. Good learning scope. 2. In civil engineering technical visits are happening to the wastewater treatment plants. 3. Good scope of getting internships in different govt institutions. 4. Campus placements are very good 4-5 PSU visited campus. 5. College culture is very good and healthy.

1. Campus placements were very good for the computer and IT sectors. 2. Non-tech companies visited a lot of companies throughout the year.

Engi fest - north India biggest fest, Usually held in the month of February, it is a three-day-long event. Engifest includes a variety of events such as car and bike shows, drag racing, cultural performances, live wire-star night, rock shows, plays on social problems, dances, and others Innova- annual tech fest. Sahitya- annual literacy fest. Aavahan- annual sports fest.

The fee is very high. 99500 nearly tuition fee and 31500 is hostel and mess fee include for 6month mess fee with 10000. After 6month 10000 pay for mess fee. Scholarships are also given to students who cannot afford fees. College provides transparency in the fee breakdown.

College offers many scholarships like the Jindal scholarship for students who come in the top 3 within the department. And state govt provide lots of fund to SC/ST students.

Campus Life is fantastic, every evening lots of events are happening. The sex ratio is 15 females vs 100 males. for each hobby, there is a society, like robotics, dancing, singing, gardening. The campus is out of any type of political issue, but there is a different post for which elections are happening.

The Alumni network is very strong because the college is nearly 80 years old. Many alumni were working in different govt organizations at the higher posts.

Got admission after clearing the AIEEE exam. Steps are: 1. AIEEE exam. 2. Registration for admission in DTU after entrance exam result declaration. 3. Wait for the counseling result. 4. 4 rounds of counseling happen. Chose civil engineering because it is the best specialization I got in my rank bracket.

1. Mostly 4 lectures and 1 lab that happens daily. 2. Most of the professors are highly experienced but very few are Ph.D., now the college has started to recruit only Ph.D. as a professor. 3. I think the average age was 45+. 4. Lectures were very good and relevant for industry. 5. A lot of consultancy work are also happens in college.
