Remarks

Overall averagely good. Infrastructure is really good.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is based on the MCI guidelines. Clinics are less than expected. Exams are conducted by the health University of Maharashtra that is MUHS Nashik. There are no on campus placement facilities. The hospital attached to the college is really good well equipped with all facilities.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. You get good time to study for your pg entrance while doing your internship. The staff is helpful.

College Events

There is an annual fest every year. Also there is the ganpati festival which is celebrated. The students organise it themselves with minimum help from the college which is a great learning experience. They are quite good with an sports cultural and other activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is expensive as compared to government medical colleges but it is relatively cheaper than other private institutions in the state. There are various government run schemes and scholarships which prove helpful for students who can't afford to pay the fees.

No I did not opt for any scholarships. However government scholarships are all available. the college does not give scholarships.

Campus Life

Campus Life is average. The male female ratio varies with each batch. Extra curricular activities are limited. Worshops and sessions are not organised. Labs are good and well equipped but you don't get to perform experiments hands on. Sports occur once a year during fests.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. Three students in one room. The annual fees is 30000 INR for a year. The rooms are average. However they are quite clean. The food quality is really bad and it is compulsory to eat at that mess.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful but I'm not sure if any alumni network exists. This is a ragging free campus.

Admission

Admission is through a common entrance test conducted at an all india level. Though there are quota for state students. Admission is around month of August every year. There are however also management quota and nri quotas available. The fees here is less than average of other institutions in the state.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is all good and well qualified. There are a minimum of 5 faculty for each of the nineteen concerned subjects. There are a few teachers who are exceptionally well and student friendly. Lectures happen regularly and attendance is really strict.

Curriculum is highly planned and very vast. Regular revision is necessary to caver all subjects. All subjects are taught with high practical basis hence ensuring exposure and preparing for real life exposure. Teaching could be more consise and logic based. Main exams are every 2 to 3 months with difficulty slightly higher in term 2 than term 1.

Placement Experience:

College don't offer any placement. 5.5 yrs mbbs includes 1 yr internship in which interns are paid 18k for month. While after mbbs you have to do service bond in rural areas in which dr.are paid 80k month.

SVNGMC UNDER GLANCE!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a doctor so I chose this course exam are held Every alternate month, the first-second term then prelims finally University. Exams are Quite tough to pass, Anat and the physio dept make 20-30/200 passes. Biochem passes around 100/200. But it's better as you need to fight for your eligibility. For instance, I passed every subject in every term.

A brief review of MIMSR MEDICAL COLLEGE

To get admitted in any medical colleges in India a student must undergo National eligibility cum entrance test which is also called as NEET. A student must secure rank of around 55000 to get admitted into MIMSR medical College in Maharashtra. After the results are declared Maharashtra government starts admission rounds so that a student can apply for medical colleges based on his or her rank. Application forms for admission are available on NMC website a student can also higher a counselor which can help him or her to get desired admission. The exam for being admitted to undergraduate medical courses is NEET UG which means National Eligibility Cum Entrance Examination conducted on a national level. Yearly about 20 lakh students appear for the exam. The cutoff for open category for government medical colleges was 545 and the admissions to this institute were by national as well as state merit list.
