Remarks

Good - Research is top-notch, Placement is excellent. Bad - Courses are heavy, Lack of good campus life due to heavy courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MTech is a 2-year program divided into 4 semesters. Each semester is 4 months long. Apart from some fixed subjects, each student is given the choice to study subjects of her/his choice. Each subject consists of end sem exams, mid sem exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects. Each of these carries some weightage, which varies per subject and contributes to the grade of that student. Subjects are either Industry oriented with assignments based on the latest tools or technology or research-oriented or can be both at the same time.

Placement Experience

5

Most of the top companies visited the college, 50+. General Steps followed by companies coding test, than a series of 4-5 interviews focussing on Technical Subjects, Projects, Coding, hr. Placement is 100%. Institute do not provide any preparation program to students for placement season, students prepare on their own.

College Events

1.5

Technical - hackathon, coding competitions, public speeches by experienced people about their work. Cultural -felicity (main college festival - 1000+ students participate), roadblock (singing and music), Dance festivals, standup comedy, others- cricket tournaments, football tournaments, Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton. The participation of students is not much in these festivals because of the heavy course structure.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fee/sem - 12500. hostel and mess fees - 32000. Total fees around 1, 60, 000 per semester. There is loan faciltiy available in the college, along with scholarships facility. As compared to quality of Placement you get at end, it will not appear that much. There is full transparency in the fee-breakdown even for mess and hostel fees as they are managed by student committe members.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, college offer scholarship oppertunities to students belonging to poor background. Educational loan is provided at by banks. SBI bank is in campus too for this.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is not as good compared to IITs as their is lot of academic pressure. Gender ratio is also very poor. But from this year, some seats have been reserved for girls to improve it. If you are able to manage heavy pressure of academics, you can participate in sports and competitions which happen from time to time. The overall performance of these events is dependent upon students participation which is not so good.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

hostels are mandatory. The hostel rooms are quite good and big with a table and chair and almirah for students. There is internet connectivity in each room with internet speed quite well. Each day the washrooms are cleaned by the cleaning staff. Overall there is a lot of cleanliness.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are always there to guide you and help you. They will also guide you regarding subjects reviews and their experience with professors, of placments and how one should go ahead.

Admission

Mtech in CSE - Mtech is a fixed 2-year course which aims at deepening and widening the knowledge of Computer subjects as well as specialization in the area of interest. IIIT Hyderabad, one of the many Prestigious Institutions of India, known for its Research, Coding Culture and Startup Cell. Professors teaching here are either very experienced in research or have experience in working with top companies. Course Structure is both technology-wise Industry oriented and research-oriented at the same time with the freedom to choose subjects you want to study.

Faculty

3.5

Each subject contains around 25 lectures from faculty. Average age is around 45. Many of the lecturers have experience of working in top organizations. As teaching method of each faculty is different, level of understanding also varies for student. Faculty seems to be very experienced in their subjects.

Admission:

Firstly U need to write an entrance exam named IIITH-PGEE for PG courses. The exam will be in two parts. One for Aptitude and Programming and the other for Technical. U must clear both the parts. Then if you are shortlisted for an interview and clear the interview. You will get selected.

Central Institute of Tool Design, exposed me to a vibrant atmosphere where I could approach industry leaders like Suzuki, Hyundai etcetera. The institute provided me with a cost-efficient way to pursue my Masters of engineering in Tool Design. The fee structure is more affordable as compared to other private institutes, therefore, allowing me to gain the valuable gift of knowledge.

I took GATE entrance exam. I scored an AIR (All India Rank) of 2361 in Civil Engineering Department. I opted this college because it is the nearest top of the class national institutions from my native place (Khammam, Telangana). I've done my bachelor's in Civil Engineering and i'm always fascinated with Wastewater Treatment Technologies. This enthusiasm made me take this course in this college.
