Best & Prestigious College of State. It is one of the best and Old College of Kerala. Started in the time of Britishers.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yeah, it was best. Most of the students doing Ph.D in the subject after thier post-graduation. Botany is a research department here. So, for students who want to do Research in the field of Botany this college is the best option. And other departments also have researched facility. For updated list, please contact the college.

It is one of best colleges in the State. Its a NAAC accredited college. You will get good exposure surely.

College Events

Calicut University Arts Festival. In A zone, Victoria College is the continuous winners. Music director Ranjin Raj is my batch mate in this college. Annual sports meet is conducted here. A good cricket team is there. Short film festivals were conducted by the film club of Victoria college called Victoria Vision.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Only government fees. You can pay it by cash in College office. Its a nominal fee. Government scholarships and grants are there for eligible students and economically and socially backwarded students. Fee is not a problem. Its a government funded college.

No. Fee is nominal. Only government fee is there. But government scholarships and other grants are available for students.

Campus Life

Very good. Normally, every year Victoria college is the winners of Calicut University A zone arts festival. This college gives equal importance to extra curricular activities including arts & sports. Music director Ranjin Raj is my batchmate. An active film club is there named Victoria Vision. You can watch the short movies made by Victoria Vision in youtube.

Alumni/Alumna

Very strong Alumni Association is there. They continuously helping the students and the society. In Palakkad, near to Palakkad Fort a garden named vatika is there. You can see boards infront of every tree with scientific name and informations with QR code. That is an initiative of Victorian Botany Alumni Association VIBA.

Admission

Its a prestigious Insitute. That's why I chose this college. Luckily I got admission in reservation category. At that time, offline application process was there. So i applied through application form. After that, Merit list published. And based on that, I got card for interview.

Now HOD is Dr.Maya. She is very well qualified research guide. All the faculties are highly qualified professionals. Very good reaching. Academic related activities are conducted continuously in this college. Its NAAC accredited college. Very good college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I chose this course to help others.social service was the main motive. I'm now persuing post graduation because i got best classes from best teachers. Real world applications are that i can be a good psychologist. The exams are gaped 6 months. Difficulty depends on the teachers who prepare the exam papers. But mainly it is syllabus based.
