Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes there was an industrial visit for us and it was also a pleasure trip. The course curriculum and exam structure is very relevant and research driven. The professors are also very talented. The syllabus is also very efficient. It contains two mini projects and one main project in the last 4 semesters.

Placement Experience

4

Tcl, wipro, IBM are the main companies that visited the campus for their placement drives for IT course. For the campus placement there are some certain criteria for the respective company. If you pass the criteria then there will be an exam if you pass in the exam there will be an interview. After that the eligible students are selected to the respective company. Every year about 67 percentege of students are placed from our campus. And our college takes special steps to motivate and prepare the students for the placement season by special classes and by providing career guidance.

College Events

3.5

There are some cultural and technical festivals conducted in our college during even semesters. The cultural fest is called sattva and the tecnical fest is called innovia. These fests are the pulse of the college wich provides the students more opportunities in extra curricular activities. Every students are participated in these fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At the beginning of each semester is the time to pay the sem fee. We can deposit the fee to the college by going to a bank or online payment. There are additional charges to be paid in order to secure an admission to our course. The college also provides transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers some scholarship opportunities to students. There are some eligibility criteria for these scholarships like full pass and cgpa cutoff etc.

Campus Life

2

The campus life of our college is very beautiful. Our college is situated in a small village called pulinkunnu in wich we lack transportation and other facilities. Floods are one of the main problem. labs and sports are the main extra curricular activities in our college. In wich we have enough lab facilities an other sports facilities.

Hostel Facilities

2

There are no hostel services provided by our college. But there are some homestays under the supervision of the college which is provided by the civilians at that area. They are the only stays available in that college for every students in which 99 percent of the students are hostelers.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students in our college are very helpful in providing knowledge and helping in extracurricular activities. They are like our elder brothers and sisters. They helps us in our needs.

Admission

I like IT field and cusat university is the best university in Kerala. First there was an entrance exam and I scored a good rank in it and I got admission in the second campus of the cusat university. On the day off admission we deposited the semester fee and I took admission in cucek on the next day.

Faculty

4.5

The lecturers in our college are very efficeint in teaching and industry experienced. They helps us to clarify all our needs and also help us in our character develpoment. Our IT branch contains one HOD and 8 other lecturers for different subjects in it there are 4 permanent staffs and 5 temporary staffs.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
