Remarks

There are no social events organized in this college. This college does not have a proper tie-up with companies across the globe. Lack of proper exposure to the working field. Good availability of equipment and a nice hands-on experience. Great mentorship and ample amount of arena. Awesome greenery and an exemplary infrastructure. From the view of academics, it's the number one college but yes it does remain backed up sometimes in the field of entertainment. The fun elements miss out. The strict staff makes it even more difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Industrial visits are organized for the students every once a year. The curriculum is diverse and focuses on overall development rather than just mugging up things. We have frequent lab visits to have experience of the corporate world. We have theory lectures in order to provide us the best explanation and the working procedure. The curriculum has enough diversity to provide us the industry-oriented knowledge and help us get an insight into the working of these industries. The college also has specialized workshops of their own which provide the students with the very best possible.

Placement Experience

4

The companies that visit the campus are mainly the technically oriented companies with requirements in a desk job. Which are namely, SEIMENS, TCS, INFOSYS, KUKA, TATA, and few others. The companies make their applicants go through 3 rounds first being the aptitude test all those to pass ut make it to the group discussion round, after clearing this round one gets the chance to sit in the personal interview first in a technical interview than in an hr interview. The tentative percentage varies as per the company but anyone scoring as low as 75% does have a chance to secure a job and those who are good scorers are for sure to grab the best job with the best packages. Institute does have an internship tie-up with a company called MYCAPTIAN for providing the students with an overview of placement inset the college also provides a mandatory two months workshop in the field of welding and mechanics. The college also has specialized paid labs in order to provide hands-on experience to the willing candidate. The college has a series of tests named SPEED for those who outshine it gets a chance to do these highly sophisticated labs free of cost. The college does have a placement percentage of over 87% in the past few years. The college also provides paid internships to those who are willing to get an on-field experience.

College Events

4

There are lots of events in hrC. Almost every month or even every week, events are organized. Currently, fests are going on, like Food Fest, EDM nights and a lot of fun is there if we seek. There were sports events. Recently hrC won the intercollege basketball tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the B.tech program in this college can hike up to INR 145000. With no additional fees to be paid in between at any given point. The parents do to the college are only accepted in form of DEMAND DRAFT and no other payment method can be used. College does have a blueprint of fee structure provided to every pupil during addmission. The college does provide a complete fess breakdown to students' comfort and no extra charges are to be given to secure your seat in any program offered by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does provide the option of fee waiver as well as national scholarship and both are provided to eligible students, although I was not able to stand up to the criteria hence was unable to get the scholarship but my friends who were capable enough grabbed the opportunity. The procedure is as follows. 1) Basic requirement for a fee waiver is that you should be a 90%+ student but for a national scholarship, your father's income must be less than 2 lacs P.A 2) Apply the form for the national scholarship online whereas for fee waiver one must consult the heads of the administration. Accordingly, the amount declared by the government will be credited to your account linked to the college branch.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are great in hrC. There are repeating workshops where Students can participate and cultural societies are very interactive. They are a little expensive for a middle-class (poor student) but they are, sometimes, worth it.

Hostel Facilities

2

There are two types of hostel for first-year students which are opted as 2 seaters or 3 seaters the annual cost for a 3 seater hostel room is INR 110000 including mess excluding laundry. The annual cost for 2 seater hostel room is INR 120000 including mess excluding laundry. Apart from these expenses the laundry is charged INR 12 for each piece and is collected weekly. The hostel is also equipped with. In case you opt to stay in a PG then the cost for the 2 seater room is INR 60,000 annually including mess including laundry. The living expenses apart from the fees are nearly INR 3000 per month which accounts for INR 36000 annually. In the case of a campus hostel, we have 3 badminton courts, 1 basketball court, 1 volleyball court, and a fully equipped GYM and table tennis table.

Alumni/Alumna

Sufficient network of students all around the country and beyond. Seniors do are helpful but yes sometimes they tend to be stubborn. Also, seniors do help a lot and follow the culture and set of procedures.

Admission

I opted for this college because of its infrastructure and because it's the only college in the western state to have no uniform for the students. I got admission through the management quota which allows the college to allocate seats to the students on a first come first serve basis. In order to get admission through management seat, you got to reach the campus and pay the fees as soon as the seats are opened, whereas to get the seat through entrance test i.e. in this case is UPSEE, you must be a good rank holder probably under 200000 to get your desired stream. To pursue your degree from this college you must have an excellent score on the test. The exam is conducted in the last week of March every year.

Faculty

3

The college holds an exceptional 8 hrs work time with 8 lectures a day and each lecture being 50 minutes long. The average age of the teachers is anywhere between 30 to 50 years with a maximum of them having an experience of 3 to 15 years as per their age. Faculties are highly trained and qualify with the maximum being postgraduates and doctorate degree holders from prestigious colleges in the nation. The lecturers hold the awarded certification in their respective fields and do have an on-field experience and are reputed to deliver the proper clarity to the students.

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.
