Great Place to Learn computer science and also the Electronic and Communication technology. The college is well equipped with world-class infrastructure which includes i5 processor pcs installed in the labs and WiFi networks capable of handling the student's requirements during the academic as well as the placement. The Bandwidth offered is up to 300 Gbps.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is the same as any other college under the SPPU University in Pune. But PICT supports a bit more research-oriented programming in learning various coding languages which prepares the students for the IT sector.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunity in our college is the highest of any other college in Pune, Maharashtra. Our college had 88 percent placement last year. Companies that are regular at PICT include Microsoft, Phonepe, Flipkart, Infosys, TCS, FinIQ, Tech Mahindra, Atos. The internship opportunities are provided at the beginning of the third year and in the final year. A number of people get enrolled for this internship as it increases the probability of getting placed in the same company besides the real-life work experience.
College Events
Credenz is a technical event conducted by the PICT ACM community. Besides the Pulzion conducted by PICT IEEE a much bigger and includes technical as well as non-technical events. The annual event conducted by the college as a whole is Addiction which is totally a non-technical event conducted in the month of February. Its cultural part like dance performances is conducted at Ganesh Kala krida Kendra at Swargate. The next two days people wear different outfits based on the theme set that year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
103550 for general categories. 60000 for obc category. 20000 for sc/st category. The fee structure here is quite reasonable as compared to many other colleges in Pune. The quality of staff here is quite high.
Fees and Financial Aid
No such loan opportunity is provided on behalf of the college. But you can apply for the same at the Vidyalakshmi portal to avail of educational loan facilities in case of any financial weaknesses. Also, the government of Maharashtra provides scholarships to meritious students via mahadbt portal.
Campus Life
Labs are good enough to provide some knowledge, but the sports hr is like magic, faculty comes and takes his/her lecture, it's been 2years that I have entered the ground to play. Labs will decide the faith of the students in our department.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fees are a bit reasonable i. e 75000 per annum, food in our college will never disappoint anyone. There will be three members per room. With a wifi, reading desk. We have a gym too. The timings are also exactly maintained for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Alumni/Alumna
Great Alumni of the college. They regularly visit the college and sponsor students' projects and also help students in making opportunities a golden one. They help the college and also hire students at the college. They help establish a bond between the college and the industry.
Admission
I got admission in Pict through the spot round conducted by the college. The spot round process conducted was very transparent and clear to all. A day before a notice was put on the college website about the spot round and I reached the place with all my documents. I preferred this college because it guarantee's you a better placement opportunity like those of nits. The packages offered here are the level of several other NIT'S and the average package is also high up to 6 lakhs per annum.
Faculty
Many staff members are graduates of the top engineering colleges. All have their master's completed from renowned colleges. One of every two is either a Ph.D. or pursuing a Ph.D. The staff is well capable of handling all the doubts of the students regardless of their field. They are much friendly with the students.
