Entrance Preview

Himachal Pradesh (HP) Medical Post-graduation Entrance Exam. 3rd Rank in direct, General category (unreserved)Always wanted to be a radiologist.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum comprised exhaustive training in Radiology consisting of X-ray, Fluroscopy, Ultrasonography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance and Imaging.

Internships Opportunities

The college work atmosphere was great. Being a government Medical college, the exposure was fantastic and we got to learn many, many things there. The stipend was Rs 15000 in first year (now 25000)Rs 27000 in second year and rs 30000 in third year. (All are per month).

Placement Experience

4

The placements are excellent. Pass out students have the option of going into private practice or hospitals. Which offer lucrative offers or taking up a govt job which also provides for good money with the added advantage of job security. Package may range from (depending upon speciality) Rs 4.8 lakh to Rs 30 Lakh per annum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a Government Medical college the fees is very reasonable. Around Rs 12000 per year for us (2011-2014 batch) ( now has increased to Rs 30000 per year).

Fees and Financial Aid

As per scholarship, a few were available but i am not very sure about. Loan facilities are definitely available (from various banks) but are usually not required as fee structure is already very reasonable.

Campus Life

4

The time spent during the college days is one of the best time in entire life. As the college is away from the city, most of the students (more than 90%) used to stay in hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

The college regularly holds alumni meet which is a very good thing, in which we get to know a lot from the seniors who share their experiences. There is a well placed network of alumni and senior residents to which one can turn to for any kind of help.

Exam Structure

Exams are held only once, at the end of three years.however six monthly assessments are made in addition to surprise tests.

Faculty

3.5

Very good and friendly. All were very experienced and knowledgeable. Ever ready to help whenever required. Were caring and protective when required.

MBBS is some course I don't think I've to define, it's low-key a noble profession and worth the hardwork you'll be doing throughout past few years of NEET-ug preparation and 4.5 years of MBBS. And superiority complex among yo relatives, hahaha????

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its MBBS dude . Respected profession and lots of money. The curriculum is good very much emphasis on theoratical knowledge along with good amount of clinical hours for skill development. Improvements would be to lower the load on final prof. As too many subjects. Frequency of exams is 1 formative weekly and 3 terms at 3 months gap . One final examination yearly. They vary in difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs in itself is vast curriculum but it's interesting at the same time. We get to learn more about our body in first year through anatomy physiology and biochemistry. From second year onwards the preclinical subjects are more interesting one also the clinical postings make the cause much fun u got to see many patients and apply the bookish knowledge on the patients. Exams in mbbs are held from time to time which keep us going through the course very easily.
