Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is easy and autonomous syllabus. The grading is absolute and we need to complete 200 credits for degree. Special semester is held to clear any backlogs.

Internships Opportunities

Aricent, Infosys. Jp Morgan, sap labs, bel, Alcatel-Lucent, huawei, cognizant, Oracle, akamai technologies, Schneider electric, fidelity, Cisco systems

Placement Experience

Placement is 100% with the exception of backlogs. Aricent - 3.5lpa. Infosys - 3.2lpa, jp Morgan - 6.5lpa, sap labs - 6.5 lpa, akamai - 7.15lpa

College Events

Vtu youth festival was conducted once and there are lots of other cultural and technical fests as well. 75% of then are intra college and remaining at inter college level. There are various clubs photography and movie

Fee Structure And Facilities

Through CET the fee was 28000 but through comed k the fees was 1.25 lakhApart from this seats were given through management quota as well which included a donation amount

Scholarship was given to only students who belonged to certain backward classes. It included full fee vaiwer

There were a higher amount of foreign students, most of them from the middle east. Gender ratio is good and almost equal number of girls and boys. The students are mostly study oriented and less of parties

Hostel was good with decent food as well. Hostel fee was close to 50k and had good security as well. Location was also close to college

I have had not much of interaction with senior students but there are a notable alumni in very high positions. Suhas gopinath was a alumni and became CEo at a very young age.

Exam Structure

It was pretty chilled out life. Total 8 semesters where there and the passing marks were 40 out of 100. 50 marks for internals and 50 marks for externals was the format

Faculty

Faculty is supportive and highly knowledgeable. Most of the faculty have PhD. Importance is given for both theory and practical. Each student is assigned one personal proctor

a good college with good atmosphere and placements

Placement Experience:

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

"BIET Davanagere: A Hub of Opportunities with Room for Improvement"

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.

This was the college of my choice as it was comparatively closer to my home, and other alumni from this college had informed me about its merits.
