Remarks

No college is perfect and yes there are ample lot of thins that i would like to change in it but in and out this college will teach you hell lot of things. You get a chance to meet people from all walk of life and interact with them and learn from them

Entrance Preview

I took comed-k to get into my college and my rank was 6147. I took this college because it comes in major colleges of Bangalore and has a beautiful campus with lots to offer in wide range of spectrum. i took IEM branch because it had management subject il last sem and as i want to pursue MBA this branch was best for me

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum follows OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION that means what all is demanded by the industries worldwide is what being taught here. This college has tie-ups with various colleges all over the world so even if a student feels to leave college in any semester and wants to go to abroad he/she need not need to do semester which he/she has already done

Internships Opportunities

This college has one of the best campus recruitment through out the country. Each day there is one or the other company on the campus offering packages upto 15 lpa.Though most of the company that comes are from IT sector but if you have good technical knowledge you have a good chance of getting into core company

College Events

4.5

This college has all possible activities and sports that can be there in a normal Indian college has a fest called UDBHAV in summer which goes for 3 days. This fest brings lot of people from bangalore and students get a great chance to interact with them and showcase their talent in many different ways, This college has been constant best in sport (VTU tournaments) and has a great facilities for sports

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is kind of complicated here and they have different fees for different type of student if you are from KARNATAKA and have given CET then your fees would be somewhere between 45-50 thousand for comed-k it is 1.5 lakh and management and NRI quota have to pay even upto 3 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont have much knowledge about it but as far as i know if your fathers monthly income is less than a lakh then you can show income certificate and can get concession on the fees. There are other kind of quotas too

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is very substandard with very average accommodation and food but if you dont want to go into it there are ample of flats PGs around the area. Rent there could be 4-7 thousand depending upon the facilities they are providing. Food is not a problem here you can get your stomach filled even in 30 Rs and if you want some good all fast-food joints u can think of are also there. Verities of restaurant with different cuisine

Alumni/Alumna

The college has an alumni association which is known as MSRITAA. The MSRITAA has initiated a book bank scheme and funding of research projects, among other activitie

Exam Structure

Exams are not that heavy thing for student even if you fail they have a provision for MAKE UP exam that means your grade would not be shown in grade grade and you will be given a another chance to clear that paper. There is a provision for supplementary semester also where u can clear your backlogs in a span of a month or so. Internals are chilled out too and u can even easily.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of college are highly qualified. They are not very co-operative though and seems like they r not much interested in teaching but that is the story of most of the colleges. If you are excelling in any subject u will get support from the department and funds for your project

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
