Remarks

It is definitely a very good private engineering college with a very good infrastructure and pedagogy.

Entrance Preview

COMEDK, MSRIT is one of the best colleges in south which offers quality education. Its particularly known for courses in Civil Engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was updated and very industry relevant. The Course covered diverse set of topics which covers all aspects of civil engineering. Student feedback were always welcomed for course updation.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend is generally not offered in internship. It is not facilitated by the college. This is true for most of the private engineering school of India.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are above par. Being a renowned institute, it attracts a lot of IT and non IT companies like L&T bosch , Shobha Developers, TCS Wipro Infosys. Average package in my year was about 6 Lpa.

College Events

Lot of cultural events happen around the year which include curricular as well as extra curricular activities. Inter-school events and fests are very common and attracts a lot of participation from colleges across the country.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure in my year was 125000 per annum excluding hostel. Hence, yes it was expensive. Hostel was 30000 for 12 months.

Campus Life

Campus life was engaging. Lot of events happen around the year which include , Hostel Parties, workshops, cultural societies. Inter-school events and fests are very common and attracts a lot of participation from colleges across the country. Good mix of girls and boys in the batch.

Hostel Facilities

The walls of the hostel were dirty, the corridors were dirty, and this is when the majority of the students haven't returned back. I am sure there are supposed to be sweepers in the hostel cleaning all this. Couldn't we do this a day before the new students and their parents arrived.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Exam Structure

The course is hectic. End year exams, suprise quizes, unit tests, we had a mix of everything. Having said that, it was relevant for understanding the concept and for brain storming.

Faculty

They were a friendly lot. The pedagogy used was very student friendly. It was a good mix of academicians and industry experienced guides. Professors having Ph.Ds from institutes like IISC were present to guide us.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

Infrastructure is well established and good
Security for Students is very high and no ragging
Food is very good and feels like a restaurant

Lack of events and only the educational events
Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Placement Experience:

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Campus Life and Social Interaction : Vibrant campus Life : The campus offer a dynamic environment with multiple student clubs , technicals societies , cultural fests ,and sports events students engaage in regular extracurricular activities.
Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Hostel food. Rooms facility. Library. Canteen.
Caretaking, cleanliness, education, laboratories

Dislikes

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Good ranking of college among other private colleges of India
Best location of college in the silicon valley of India
Various opportunities of internship to students

Dislikes

Campus area of the college is less than expexted
Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

I had also applied for RV College of Engineering but i got admission in M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology as i got the seat in this college during KCET allotment due to cutoff and rank variation i could not get it. Honest Review of Ramaiah Institute of Technology

RIT gives admission to students who belong to states other than Karnataka through the exam COMEDK. The eligibility of the course is minimum 65% in 12th grade and meeting the respective cutoff of the course you want to pursue.The application form can be found on the website www.comedk.org in the month of Jan or feb. The application fees of COMEDK is 1500 rupees. COMEDK exam is conducted once in the year on a given fixed date decided by the examination authorities.There are two shifts in the exam morning shift from 9 am to 12pm and evening shift from 2pm to 5pm. COMEDK asks 180 single choice questions out of which 60 are of physics 60 from chemistry and 60 of mathematics .COMEDK has a defined syllabus generally of 11th and 12th class.The questions asked in COMEDK range from easy to medium difficulty level.COMEDK does have negative marking scheme it gives +1 for correct answer and 0 for wrong answer....Read More
