Remarks

The college lacks infrastructure but definately makes up by the quality of the teachers available the co curricular activities in the college and the most importantly the fact that lies under delhi university finally makesup for it.

Entrance Preview

I took many engineering entrance examinations like jee mains, entrance for ip university and many more but ended up doing maths hons fron delhi university as i was not able to get in agood engineering college. Since i was a science student therefore i had a particular interest in mathematics as many science subjects include maths. I scored distinction in every subject in class 12 and got maximum marks in maths therefore i opted for maths hons in delhi university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculm was very extensive and detailed.I enjoyed doing maths and that helped me all along but the level of difficulty was higher. In the final year the syllabus got extended and i ended up giving five examinations in one semester. Since being a off campus college the teachers and students are quite interested in academics and we regulary have our classes.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like wipro and infosys came to the college placement cell last year. The college has a active placement cell. Many companies come in college mostly in december. As i am in fifth semester i do not know much about that.

Placement Experience

4

I am in fifth semester i cannot briefly tell you about that but as i keep talking to my seniors i got to know they got selected and got packages upto 3 lacks per annum which is great after graduation.

College Events

4

The college hosts many cultural and academic events throughout the year. There are a number of cultural events happening in the college on a daily basis.almost every department in college holds a seperate fest like the mathematics department fest or economics department fest. These fests include lots of events like treasure hunt, games and many more. The college also organises many educational trips.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of almost every college in the delhi university is quite feasible. They charged me about 10 thousand for the year and 1000 each in every semester as examination fees which hardly brings about the total to 15-20 thousand per year. But the infrastructure of these colleges are very average as they are controlled by government which results in so affordable fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year the university conducts a test for scholarships to the first year students. Three or four kids from every department are offered scholarships given the participated i the test and secured highest marks in the class.I participated in one of these. I also gave the test but did not secure high marks in class to gain a scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio in the college is male dominant. The number of girls are less than the boys. The college organises a cultural fest every year.it lasts for three days. the activities in first day considering games events a number of food stalls in the college which comprises of great fun for the students.the second day includes a talent hunt where students from all departments participate quite enthusiastically. And the final day usually ends by a star night where usually a pop star is invited to entertain all students.Every year a diffent star is invited and most number of students turn out for such events. Every year the college organises sports fest for all students. The main purpose of this fest is for all students to come ahead and participate in every sport or event they always wanted to play or try.A lot of students turn up for the event and it is concluded by a prize giving ceremony where all participants are awarded with a participation certificate and students who win the tournaments are awarded with trophies and medals.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I do not live in a hostel or PG but the conditions of living are quite ordinary as described by many friends living in PGs. You may get better facilities but that obviously amounts to a greater sum of money which many avoid.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful and being in the basketball team in the college i got a lot of advice from my seniors regarding the balance to be maintained with academics while playing sports at the same time.

Exam Structure

The college has a semester system.every six months exams of all subjects are conducted.every subject holds 100 marks 75 for theory 25 for internals and two subjects have practicals of 50 marks each. The days with practicals were quite hectic whereas theory days were chilled out.but friday was the day with more than 5 lectures of one hour each which turned out to be the worst day of the week. Thankfully there were no practicals on this day.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty was very experienced and every teacher in the college was highly qualified. The teachers helped us very much. Being science students we had to study more as the given subjects required more attention and time. The teachers were very helpful and were always there to clear all our doubts

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
