Remarks

No negative comments about the college as the college provides all the facilities starting from gym to games, beautiful atmosphere, high quality education and good food and also supporting seniors. I love my university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Biotechnology encompasses a wide range of procedures for modifying living organisms, domestication of animals, cultivation of the plants, and bring improvements to these through breeding programs which employ artificial selection and hybridization. I personally, have a liking and curiosity towards this subject, so therefore I chose this course. Two small exams of 15 marks, 60 marks main exam and 10 marks for attendance is there in every semester.

Placement Experience

4

The department has an impressive placement record since its inception. But not always, there are placements that take place throughout the year. It's like when the luck strikes, there are numerous job opportunities and placement for its students.

College Events

4

National unity day, Foundation day celebration, World soil health day, KVK and ATMA meeting, multi-task staff training, non-teaching staff picnic, paryatan parv, employment enhancement training takes place in Nagaland University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The appropriate course fee for B.tech, that is for four years is Rs.56,000/-. Other than these, there isn't any extra charge that the university takes. But small amount of 500 or 1000 might be taken for fest or other events, that too, on a very rare case. As a Engineering course is concerned, the fees is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The five types of scholarships that is provided by the Nagaland University are : 1. Nagaland State Merit Scholarship. 2. Pre-matric scholarship for ST. 3. Post-matric scholarship for ST. 4. NEC Stipend and book grant scheme. 5. Nagaland state research fellowship.

Campus Life

4

There are ample facilities available for the boys and girls to play Volleyball, Football, Table Tennis, Carom, Cricket, Badminton, Chess, etc. for students who are residing in the hostels. Apart from all these, two gyms are also available for use. Tolerance is highly maintained regarding the sex, gender, ethnicity, race.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The university provides very limited hostel facilities for the students - there are 2 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels where there is accommodation based on twin-sharing. Food is provided which is pretty good. Also, electricity and security which is a must. Importantly, internet is also available.

Alumni/Alumna

The University has established an Alumni Association which is very large. All the graduates from this university, can become a member of the Alumni Association, by complying with the certain regulations and norms of Alumni Association. As of now, there are approximately 218 members in the Alumni Association.

Admission

For UG courses, candidates are required to have passed 10+2 examination a recognised board. Also, the candidate needs at least 50% marks in the examination. For some candidates, it is mandatory to have obtained this percentage in particular subjects which varies in course selection. This university conducts its own entrance exam which is - Nagaland University-Management Aptitude Test (NU-MAT) for admission into MBA Programme.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty members spend endless time to perfect the students. Their professionalism and educational skills is noticed in their method of teaching. Every member of the facult holds a degree in the course, they are designed to teach.

Look in CSE only service-based companies generally come but if you have skill then you can go for off-campus till 2021 college placements were pretty average but now it's below average this year itself highest till now is 10 LPA (2025 batch passout) For other branches core companies will come and they will pay you from 6lpa to 10 lpa . Highest for 2025(7th sem ) 10lpa Lowest for 2025(7th sem ) 4 lpa Average is around 6 to 7 lpa I hope in the 8th sem more companies will come and offer better pay

Course Curriculum Overview:

After learning about all the different courses I thought of going for soil science as it is the basis of all the other agricultural sciences. Practical classes exposes us to various real world experiences. The only area where our college can improve is providing better facilities for practicals. The frequency is timing of exams is very comfortable.
