Review of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus

The curriculum that is included in MA Education can influence the way we live and can play an important role in developing our real world. Our curriculum does not only involve books but it also involves presentation, seminars and Excursions or study tour. Teaching method involves the teacher and as well as the smart board. Overall the curriculum is helpful for the students as well as the teachers.

Our university provides internship opportunities for the MBA Students where they can develop their managing skills and develop an awareness. Students are being offered to work in hotels, shopping malls, restaurants etc. The duration depends upon the faculties and the students

The fee per semester is 2910 per semester and annually it is 5820. As for the hostel fee, it is 3410 and annually it is 6820. Our university also provides scholarship for both merit and post matric students.

Our university organize different events such as General Freshers day, Literary day, cultural day, winter fest and annual sports week. The library comprises of many books varying from subject to subject but however it somehow lacks in updated version of books. Facilities such as wifi, smart board are provided for smooth functioning of teaching-learning process. Our university has NUCF(Nagaland University Christian Fellowship). NUCF inspires the students to strengthen their relationship with God and helps young people to overcome their problems and worries. Overall, the activities in Nagaland university cannot be ignored as it develops and shapes large number of students every year.

The hostel facilities includes wifi connectivity for the students for smooth functioning of learning process. It also provides study table, wardrobe and a peaceful environment. The food provided in the hostel is really appreciable considering the mess fee that cost only 1800 per month. The admission process for the hostel depends upon the permanent address that we reside in and also focuses on the marks that we scored in previous academic session.

Mainly the reason for choosing this university are, financially it is very convenient and Nagaland university is the only central university in our state so why go somewhere else. Though there are many students who wants to get a seat in NU. However there is an interview process where we have to prove our competency and prove why we should get selected for pursuing our Masters. Overall the admission process is not that tough but it depends upon an individual.

The number of students or the seat capacity for MA education is 55. It may vary from department to department. Our department have great and qualified faculties that understands the students really well. During exam time, the markings are bit strict but there is no favouritism as every student is treated equally without any discrimination. Overall the relationship within the students and the teachers are healthy and great.

For getting admission in our department, i had to go through Personal interview with the department faculties. The topics for the interview was based on our BA syallabus and as well as our personal knowledge and awareness. Preparing for the personal interview was not tough for me as i am always an optimistic person with a confident personality.
