Remarks

No just about the fee structure and admission process what I wrote above.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum was good. Year by Year they are introducing you the new subjects. No industrial visit organized though. The courses are various like BMM, BMS, Bcom. Every courses is having different structure and subjects and as progress the subjects are more and new.

Placement Experience

2.5

No placement was offered for my course. But for other courses like BMM and BMS they are providing this services.

College Events

4

Events like Moneta is the one which is related to finace and market and gives knowledge of Economics. Rapport is the fest for all the college students where lots of small events where happening and that's a best part in college. Enigma is for all the college across mumbai.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is different for Open and cast students. The open people are paying much higher fees like around 5000-8000 and cast people are paying likely around 500 and that's what the big deal what I feel. The fess should be same for all students. If there is genuine problem then only they should allow this concession.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't obtained any scholarships or education loan for my studies in the college. But I think college was giving it.

Campus Life

3.5

Capmus was good. There are canteen, ground, library, hobbies classes, Language classes, good specious class rooms, water coolers. The campus is clean and they are cleaning it regular basis. Outside we have famous Podar Katta where people are sitting in free time.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No there was no hostel facility provided by the college as this is in my city only. The people are staying by there own cost I guess. No much idea about this as the facility are not provided by college to anyone.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior are better. They are always helpful. They are pushing to do more work and always ready to help when ever required especially in college fest

Admission

You get the addmission based on your 10th Standard Percentage. So the merit list will announce for the selected students. But there are some sits reserved for the Management Quota also and for Backward class. So that's difficult actually cause though are having good percentage because of this quota you will not get admission and there are people who are having less percentage and they got admission based on cast.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty was good. Some of the professors are good and some are actually not interested much. There are some professor who are having industry expertise as well so that helps when they share there practical experience. The environment is overall good

Placement Experience:

Placements at Mulund College of Commerce are fairly good especially after the college received autonomous status. Some of the well known companies like Deloitte, KPMG etc visited. The average package is around approx. 3,00,000 per annum. In my case I'm currently pursuing CA along with my B.com degree so my focus is more on completing my CA course and gaining practical training rather than the immediate placement. The college provides a good support for students like me through flexible schedules, guidance and internship exposure. Overall, MCC prepares students well for both employment and professional qualifications helping us build a strong foundation for future career growth.

I am the part of NSS unit .. there I am genuinely learning and enjoying.. But I have figured out that for leo and Rotract they won't give credits to fy degree college students so I feel they should include first-year UGs as well. They are not giving opportunities to junior college students so I feel they junior college students should also have access to be part of different clubs and curriculums

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.com is base of all the course in commerce. And we also can do any other jobs to increase our experience in practical world because in other courses we are not able to get practical experience which is very important. The curriculum is too good as everything is about real world. There is no need to study something which is irrelevant. Everything is good but, I want that as our college opens early at 7am so library should also be open at the same time. Because many times when lectures are cancelled we just waste our time as library opens at 9am.

No issue for attendace thats what influenced me to join for bcom. not even bcom for every degree you dont need attendance just keep track of assignments. curriculum is useless no mistake of college its the syllabus of mumbai university. Teachers can be more sophisticated. 2 exams in a year are conducted and are very easy to pass out for a normal student.

I was a student of KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce. College is autonomus now and the exams paper are set by college & not university. Faculty is good. Campus is excellent. Once you leave the college, you will miss everything from lectures, 4 ways, maggi house, management canteen, IV etc. Management students do have placements in good companies. (BMS, BBI, BFM, BAF) So, in short it is a good college with decent students & faculty.
