Remarks

The overall ambiance is somewhat boring but the people you meet there are gems. And the environment is completely fit for an excellent education.

Course Curriculum Overview

The department has excellent faculty. Every 6 months, there is a semester exam that happens. Between every semester there is a mid sem exam also. This exam system motivates you to study hard and keeps you involved. This makes you understand the deadlines in the professional field.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our college is not so active and efficient. There are several companies which come offer a nice package to some of the students. Companies like TCS, cognizant, etc. But now it's getting better, a new placement officer is appointed to look after it.

College Events

There is a technical fest of particularly our department that is 'reflexion'. Other than that, teachers' day, independence day, fresher's welcome, alumni meet, etc. events are celebrated in the College. There are also some seminars related to our studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is so inexpensive that you won't believe it. Everything is so affordable. The per semester fee of b.tech is thirty-six hundred and twenty-two rupees only. Online and offline both payments are acceptable. There are no extra payments to secure your admission, if you're admitted once, you are admitted. The fees breakage is very transparent.

Fees and Financial Aid

I applied for a scholarship. I got that scholarship too, my College helped me out very much to avail myself it.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is somewhat of 3:5. There are fewer girl students in our department specifically. There is no discrimination based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity. Everyone is very friendly to each other, we discuss political issues but no one disrespects each other. Our seniors are very friendly. We live in a very environment.

Hostel Facilities

I haven't. My house is very close to my College, I didn't need hostel accommodation. But I've visited the hostel once, we have different hostels for boys and girls, there are 4 hostels for girls. The hostel fee is an extra 500 per month I guess.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

We have an event called 'reflexion'. It's a tech-fest but it's an alumni meet also. They are always very helpful. They communicate with us so politely and guide us.

Admission

I completed my graduation from Vidyasagar College after that Calcutta University offered me a B.Tech course. I appeared in their entrance exam. And my previous marks were also calculated. This institution is best known for its excellence and faculty. This attracted me towards it.

The faculties are very very friendly and helpful. They are always ready to help you out in terms of studies. You will never be afraid to talk to them. The classes are really helpful. They are very efficient that if you attend a class, you will not need to study further.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved

Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high.
