Remarks

The college provides a comfort while studying, the infrastructure, ease of living is pretty much perfect.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is standard according to the Mumbai University. All colleges under Mumbai University have to follow the same syllabus and curriculum. Current pattern is a semester based pattern which is very good. Each semester is for 6 months inclusive of 2 unit test and 1 semester exam. The syllabus is relevant enough.

Placement Experience

4

Our college has 100% placement rates. We have companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Delloite, Accenture etc. Our college encourages intern culture. We are encouraged to intern in summer breaks. Thourough various committees in college we are trained for interviews and work.

College Events

4.5

We have one festival which is a combination of Cultural, Technical and Sports. Its called Trinity which is a month long festival having events distributes thouroughout the month. We have a annual day where all the departments have their respective dance. We have inter departmental sports like football, basketball, cricket, kabaddi, volleyball ball, thourow ball etc. We have Fashion Shows, Talent Shows some quizzes, trivias etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our fee structure is pretty much same when compared to other colleges. Currently our fees is 160000 per annum. There are no surplus charges apart from these. They accept a Manager's or Cashier's cheque and also NetBanking. They do provide us with the entire breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarships or education loan as such. But the college does offer scholarships to students on the basis of merit. There various other scholarships provided to us by our community centres.

Campus Life

4.5

Being an engineering college gender ratio is a bit low. I can say 2:3(Female : Male). There are lots of extra curricular activities. We have many seminars by the best in industries. We have various teams in field of robots, automobile, ships etc. Several workshops are also conducted by outsiders as well as some college committees

Hostel Facilities

4

No I haven't opted for hostel as I stay 20kms away which is pretty much manageable to travel provided the local transport system of Mumbai which never stops. There are no hostel facilities provided by our college not that I know of. Though there are many hostels nearby and PGs nearby the college area where all outstation students reside.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah we have a very great network where alumnis come, interact with us for the matter of fact solve our doubts, guides us whenever we want. May it be post graduation or during graduation

Admission

We had to give a common entrance exam called (MHT-CET) on the basis of which we were given the admission. We have to fill am online form of DTE where we have to put our college list in prioritized order. After specific days you are alloted a best suit college from the given list based on merits and cutoffs. If we are happy with the alloted college we have to go to the college and take admission. Otherwise have to wait for a new set of rounds where you may get improvement College ( higher priority college)

Faculty

4

Based on the credits assigned to the subject we have lectures. Higher the credits, more the lecture hours. In all we have an average of 4-6 lectures per subject. Where our professors are from the industry. Some have published textbooks while some have been students of other prestigious institutions

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
