Our College is a good campus. We can see lots of birds and monkeys which reminds us of a good surrounding. There are always fresh vibes in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Students presented with vast amounts of content knowledge that is not organized into meaningful patterns are likely to forget what they have learned and to be unable to apply the knowledge.Curriculum for understanding provides ample opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in a variety of contexts and conditions. This helps them transfer their learning to new situations and better prepares them for future learning.
Placement Experience
In 2017-18 placements drive, Mechanical Engineering emerged as the top BTech branch to have secured the maximum number of job offers.But if we see in (2016-17), Electronics & Communication bagged the maximum number of offers. DTU also has a training & placement cell which takes care of all the campus placements.
College Events
Engifest is the annual cultural festival of Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering).Usually held in the month of February, it is a thouree-day-long event.The print media partner of Engifest is Hindustan Times whereas its prominent digital media partners include All India Radio, 9x Jalwa including Students from different colleges took part in this fest and in those 3 days there is a big gathering in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is little bit expensive. The fees can be paid thourough net banking, credit card, debit card, e-challan,etc. There are no additional fee/charges to be paid for the admission. The college doesn't provide any transparency in the fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers the scholarship based on the annual income of the family and there are various categories of it. Some get 50% fee refund of the tution fee while some are able to get 25%.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing as always. There are various workshops in the college regarding robotics, machines,etc. Several cultural societies are also present in the college like dance, drama,debate,etc. From every field students always adds some new innovative ideas in their course which are always helpful.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel. The condition of the hostels are good. All the rooms are well maintained with proper water and electricity facilities.If somehow any student is not able to get the hostel he can opt for PG. The average rent for PG is 6-8k per month.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is quite useful wherever there is a need of any kind of help regarding internships, placements, higher education,etc.
Admission
I got the the admission thourough joint entrance exam for engineering also known as JEE Mains held twice in a year, firstly in January and latter in April. After that this college has a different councelling committee known as Joint Admission Councelling of Delhi (JAC). JAC covers IIIT Delhi, NSUT and DTU college admissions.
Faculty
Our college has excellent and knowledgeable faculty who are supremely professional and friendly at the same time.There are 14 departments in the college and every one of them has able and wise teacher's and assistant professor's. Everyone from the library staff to the lab staff is helpful and cooperative.
